I’ve used Top Fin filters for over a decade for my goldfish aquariums, but it seems like in recent years the quality of the filter cartridges has really tanked. According to the box, one filter cartridge should last you a month, but I’m lucky if it doesn’t need changed in a week or less. I’ve even tried pulling them out when they are needing changed and rinsing out all the gunk with conditioned water, but even that only buys me an extra day or so of use. This goes without saying I feed my fish only enough that they need 2 times an day, and change 20-30% of the water via gravel siphon weekly, so there shouldn’t be so little use out of these. No fault of the seller, but I wish Top Fin filter cartridges were better quality like they used to be.
