> 3 dayheavy duty but a bit longer then expected. hard to put into say a brief case bag or smaller laptop backbag for taking to work. does not auto close but its not difficult to close. no button to push, just PULL the slide in until it clicks locked closed. because it is heavy canopy its slower to open, but still a great umbrella. not quite golf sized but close to that just seemed smaller.

> 3 dayThis umbrella is awesome! It is very large & sturdy and vented. Its got a comfortable handle and it just fits in my backpack. Havent tried it against major winds yet, but when I do, I will update this review concerning its performance. Update: Almost a year later & still love this umbrella! Have had no issues with it on windy days. Great purchase!

> 3 dayThis is a very good umbrella. I purchased it because my old umbrella broke and I liked the idea of adding a little color to the streets of New York. I have not had an issue with wind with it (which is good, because I live in a wind tunnel. Only thing I would change is possibly to include a button to have it detract or at least fold the umbrella up. As it stands now, to close, you pull it back. This is a minor request.

22-11-2024Works great. The area I live is ALWAYS windy and this umbrella has yet to fail me. It has a nice wide span, which is great when youre a tall dude, because that way you only get wet below the knees. As others have said, it is kinda heavy, so dont buy it if you cant handle carrying 2 pounds. On the plus side, if you live in a bad area, you could probably use it to beat the crap out of someone when its not in use.

18-11-2024Im use to umbrellas with a large canopy and this one fits the bill. I havent had to experience strong winds just yet, but it has held up to heavy rain. The umbrella is a tad heavy, but I think it is because of the material used to construct it. Either way its all stars from me!

> 3 dayI had an issue with the first one that arrived, but that was promptly and easily replaced, otherwise this umbrella seems pretty solid, large canopy, auto-open, easy to close as well with a very distinct click when it locks back in, and fits in an umbrella shoulder strap bag which I had from a previous umbrella, have even dropped it a couple times by accident and was certain it would have been damaged somehow, but nope, its sturdy, all in all a quality product, good enough that Ive already ordered a second one.

> 3 dayIf I could give this umbrella TEN STARS, I would. Its definitely the best Ive ever owned and Im writing this review several years after my purchase. This thing will endure all but the strongest gusts of wind with no problems. Even on the rare occasion that it flips, it has always gone right back into place with no visible or functional damage. Its very large, so it will work for two people or give full complete coverage to one in most conditions (obviously when the rain is coming down at a sharp angle your legs will get wet). You definitely have to sacrifice in terms of portability to get such a high quality umbrella, but I can actually fit this into some of my larger handbags. The only possible negative is that its too big for super crowded streets. However, I rarely have a problem in Philadelphia, so most people should be perfectly fine. I stand away from the crowd at the busiest bus stops or whatever, but I can still easily pass people on the sidewalk just by moving aside or tilting it slightly for a moment.

> 3 dayProbably the best umbrella I ever had. And this is coming from a student New Yorker. It keeps two people comfortably. Can fit three if you try. We have terestrial downpours and winds that you can barely walk against on the regular. Cheap umbrellas are literally one time use in these conditions if they even last that one time. It gets beaten up at the side of my backpack constantly, and yet it still worked flawlessly for two years straight. I did not need to care about it because it simply worked. I stored it while wet for whole days straight. Finally it has met its end when the telescoping handle stopped extending because it rusted. The canvas could still be extended and you can still cover yourself from rain just as well, but you have to hold it up tall. The warranty process is straightforward. Just sent two tags and some information with $5 for shipping and got a brand new umbrella two weeks later no questions asked. Well done totes! Youve earned a loyal customer.

Greater than one weekI am very picky person, so of course I spent hours searching for an umbrella (crazy, right?). I was a little skeptical about ordering this umbrella because I thought it would be too big, but its actually a good size. Just looks larger online (duh). This umbrella was delivered just in time because the next day there was a thunderstorm with high winds. In the past, my umbrellas wouldnt stand a chance as they couldnt take heavy winds and sometimes my umbrella will turn inside out. Expecting the same for this one, I was surprised that I was able to hold it without any problems - handles wind like its nothing! My only minor complaint is that its a bit on the heavy side. Its my first time owning a vented umbrella so I wasnt expecting the weight to be on the heavy side, but its not a big deal after holding it for a bit. Would recommend this umbrella to anyone!

> 3 dayBe warned, as you walk outside into the pouring rain, and click the button with your thumb to effortlessly release your compact umbrella into a James Bond-esk canopy to release enough cover for you, your bag, and the beautiful girl from class, you may be pined with envy. Seriously though, I love this umbrella. Ive had it since 2014 (wrote this 12/16) The opening and closing acton is so satisfyingly smooth. Its compact yet huge. Invincible to wind and a total steal for price. I love this umbrella so much that Ive taken it to Europe twice, Mexico 3 times, all over the US, and survived daily use for two monsoon seasons in Arizona! Edit 4/4/19: add bouncing around the trunk, two months in Asia, two months in Guatemala, hail, snow, rain, 50mph pelting rain at 10,000 feet on a volcano, backpacking, checked bags, dive boats, a light gnawing by a pomeranian, and used as a club in a back alley skirmish... yet it still opens flawlessly. Best umbrella ever.
