I brought this item for my mom, she liked the pattern. When we took it out of the wrapping and pushed on the button, it opened and clicked again it closed. HOWEVER, when I tried to compact it, the umbrella wouldnt lock in place and kept wanting to spring forward. It also will not open again either manually. DONT BUY!

I used this umbrella less than 5 time and it has broken. Umbrella protect decently against rain but if there is any amount of wind, it will invert, and eventually not hold up. Good for light rain but for heavier day, look elsewhere.

Im gonna use this umbrella when it rains ! Its waterproof and medium in size!

The Umbrella is Excellent and the price is fair but the warranty and durability isnt as great as annouced

Ive used numerous totes umbrellas over the years. Theyve been dependable, durable, and well-used. but failure always happens, and it is usually because a joint where a stretcher meets a rib fails. Sometimes, I can repair these to get a bit more use, but when the umbrella cant be collapsed, it is time for a new one. Ive had this totes InBrella Reverse Folding Umbrella in 15-20 mph winds (not recommended), and it is holding up. I carry an umbrella in my travel pack, so it needs to be the size that goes where I go. There are thinner, smaller travel umbrellas, but dependability is the key. The reverse folding? It seems like this feature makes it harder to dry out.

This umbrella stands out due to the image. My wife pick it and really likes how it looks. The handle has a blue pin stripe which adds a nice touch. It opens up and closes well. The structure looks well built. You can’t go wrong with Totes and with this design it brings their line to those who want to stand out from a crowd. totes InBrella Reverse Folding Umbrella - Inverted Design, Auto Open/Close What a magnificent design idea this is! The umbrella opens AND closes automatically, with the push of a button!! My mother suffers from rather severe arthritis and has difficulty with the manipulation required to close her umbrella. This is a perfect solution for her. The mechanism is very smooth - although it is startling in its quickness the first couple times you use it, so do be aware of that. It is brilliant that it inverts when closing, so you dont spray water all over yourself while it is coming together again. The design is really lovely - the flowers are bright and cheerful and definitely make rainy days a little less gloomy!

I hate the boring black umbrella that is ubiquitous in NYC. This is really nice. Pretty yet sturdy.

This moderately-sized umbrella opens and closes (both) at the release of the button. The umbrella (like most) sheds water. Where it differs is in the fact that when it closes, the side that has been getting hit with rain (and is all drippy and full of water) closes inward and upward. This means that if you have been walking/running to a carr in a storm, you can slide in to your car, press the button to close the umbrella, and slide the umbrella down. You no longer have to close the umbrella manually, getting water all over yourself and your car in the process, because this design takes care of both problems. If you generally park in a garage and drive to a garage, you might care less about this -- though who hasnt gotten stuck at the grocery store, with one hand full and an umbrella over their head? Again, this is a solution to that -- no fumbling in the rain!
