It was a fantastic, quick drying umbrella until one of the ribs snapped in light wind. Not sure if I have a defective unit or if the umbrella does not live up to what the description states, but it certainly would not withstand the 70 mph wind that the description advertises. If it was actually wind proof, the rest of the umbrella would be fantastic. Edit: Totes customer service was fantastic. They replaced my unit for free, quickly, with no questions asked. Hopefully my new umbrella doesnt break, because it is otherwise a very well made umbrella.

I highly recommend this umbrella. Its much better quality than the alternatives you can get at the drug stores or from vendors on the street. Its also small and doesnt take up much room in your bag. I was told that if it breaks you get free replacements for life from Totes but please verify that on your own. A small affordable joy in life is defeating Mother Nature. With this umbrella you get to stay dry when she wants you to be wet.

The umbrella broke the first time I used it. I used it a month or so after I bought it and now, of course, I cant return it. Same thing happened to the one I bought my daughter. Out money for two umbrellas.

Hands down the best umbrella around. When everybody is throwing their umbrellas away, you will still be walking down the road with this one. IF THE WIND BREAKS THIS UMBRELLA FIND SHELTER IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE YOU ARE IN A HURRICANE. Small enough to be carried in any average sized purse or backpack. Push button open and close makes it very nice getting in and out of cars. Dont waste your time with anything else. Worth every $$.

I havent had a need to use the product yet. I have owned totes umbrellas for years. I love the auto up and down feature. The present purchase was to replace an umbrella that we left some where. I still have an older one that I use. When we need to use two, the new one will be pressed into service.

An umbrella is such a basic thing but it is so frustrating when it breaks or doesnt work in the wind. I LOVE this umbrella! It is the perfect size to keep me dry and the push button is wonderful for getting in and out of the car. The best part is that it can withstand wind gusts! Not sure the mph but I am pretty impressed.

I ordered the same umbrella in a different color and it came with a case, so when I ordered one in blue for my husband, I was very disappointed that it arrived without a case. Other than that, its a great umbrella. But when you buy the same product in two different colors, you expect to get the same product. :(
