Toupons Canvas Travel Duffel Bag Mens Weekender Overnight Bag (Coffee)

This is a preliminary review based on having just received my bag and not having used it yet. I will update after some use. I needed four bags for hauling an assortment of items to and from trade shows. I selected these based on the description and reviews. My preference was for black bags but the difference between the “Toupons Travel Duffel Bag for Men & Women 47L Overnight Weekend Bag (Black-New)” and the “Toupons Canvas Travel Tote Luggage Mens Weekender Duffle Bag, Black” was not clear, so I ordered one of each for evaluation, intending to return one and order three more of the better (for my purposes) bag. The two bags were identical in style. Both were solid black in color but different fabrics. The “black” bag was made of what appears to be cotton canvas and the “black-new” bag was made of what appears to be a heavy nylon material. According to the seller the “black-new” bag is “water-resister material.” I did not want to have to research and purchase bags again in a couple of months, so after reading the negative reviews I inspected my bags very carefully upon receipt. Both bags appeared well made. Both were fully lined. All seams were bound and there were no raw fabric edges. All zippers on both bags were size 10 coil zippers. I was impressed by the number of zippered pockets. In addition to the expandable large center compartment there were two decent sized pockets – one on each end, two pockets on the front, one pocket on the back, and one inside the main compartment on the back – all zippered. There were also two open pockets inside the main compartment on the front. I preferred the appearance of the canvas fabric over the nylon, but decided that the nylon was more practical for my purposes. I ended up returning the “black” bag and ordering three additional “black-new” bags.

It seems to be of reasonable quality. It’s a nice size. Great for a carry on or weekend bag. I wasn’t expecting much, but it turned out to be perfect. Looks really classy too.

Great for weekender bag

The bag arrived promptly. I looked it over really well since some people had written they had a few seam and zipper issues. My bag had no flaws at all. The color is really nice & I love it. This bag is made from canvas that is the same weight that our sea bags or duffle bags we got in boot camp were. Back before they started making them with that cotton/poly blend. In other words it is made to travel and hold up. It has plenty of pockets and is roomy. I do security work, I needed a bag that would hold anything I might need in an 8 hr. shift spent in a vehicle. It holds everything I need with a bit of room for my Jacket when it gets cooler again. The bonus is it looks really nice and I love the shade of blue. And it appears it should hold up over the long haul. Time will tell on that. Though it seems mine was very well made. I am very happy with this purchase.

Perfect, this is so tough that Im pretty sure it will last for many years. I took it on international trips and camping outdoors. It holds quite a bit, the only problem is that it doesnt like to hold Large things - they have to be squishy (like material) otherwise its hard to pack a lot of things. If youre not packing too much then it isnt so bad. While it does extend at each end, its doesnt increase the size by a lot. You could fit like another pair of jeans or a couple shirts when you open the extenders. Although it really does make a difference about How you pack, if you just throw clothes it then you wont fit a lot, but if you pack properly you should fit everything you need. Its attractive, durable, easy to hold (no hard plastic bits on the handles), and works very well. I would recommend this any day.

This is a nice quality canvas duffle bag. The material its made of makes me think of the duct/canvas material work pants are made of. I just received it and have yet to use it. The bag comes with a shoulder strap with padded section about 9-10 long and approximately 3 wide. The sliders are metal as are the zippers. Each slider has a 4 pull attached to them. This should make it easier to grab and open the pockets. Each end of the bag has an extendable section. Unzip I,t and it opens approximately another 2-3 or total of about 6. The handles are made from a cotton webbing that are about 1 1/2 wide. The lining in the bag seems a good quality. The liner does not appear to be a light quality. There are 4 rubber feet sewn to the bottom of the bag in each corner. The only real way to know the quality and how well this is constructed, is by using it for several months and taking it on flights. Overall, I like the appearance and how well it is constructed.

Used this for a few trips and it has been great holding everything I need and sturdy. Might look into getting a second one.for my daughter.

Prior to purchasing this item I read through numerous reviews, a majority of which had complaints about the size, smell, and inferior zippers. I decided to order it anyway as I needed a new carry-on size bag and I liked the look, color (Coffee), and material of this one. Upon arrival I had no issues with any smells. The color was a little misleading. It is more of a light tan instead of the darker brown material represented in the picture, but looks nice anyway. The overall size is exactly as stated in the description which is suitable for a carry-on bag and weekend trips. So far I have used it on two weekend trips. I drove both times so can’t speak to whether or not there are any hassles being used as a carry-on. Zippers and hooks are all made of metal and appeared fine; however, the first time I tried to use the shoulder strap it immediately broke. The hook pulled out of its metal fitting/enclosure as if it wasn’t crimped hard enough. I reached out to the seller to inquire about a warranty and replacement strap. After 2 weeks I had not heard back from them and called Amazon (who fulfilled the item) and was informed the only recourse was to return the item. There was no option for a replacement shoulder strap. I still like the bag and have tried to fix the shoulder strap myself. Haven’t used it again so not sure if it worked or not.

Perfect size, quality, durability. Very happy!

Love the look and feel of the bag, but...after the 3rd use, the zipper broke, rendering the bag useless. So very disappointing!
