Greater than one weekI like the backpack in that its solid black, is comfortable, and retains its shape when empty. It has a large volume for storage (mine is the larger bag), which is nice since I mainly take it with me when I travel (frequently). The #1 con for me is that when the bag is full, the laptop compartment comes open (frequently) when picking up the bag, which then causes said laptop and other articles in that compartment to dump out. Not sure if its a design flaw, loose zipper, or what, but its frustrating and hasnt happened on my other backpacks. To fix this, I added a hitch pin clip through the two zippers to hold it shut, and that seems to work for now.

Greater than one weekThe Matein Travel Backpack is not very well-built. If you are looking for a bag, this is not it for the price. The middle expander pocket after some time (less than a year) start popping open on its own. It would not hold and usually leads to the backpack always being extended because zipping it back up would end with it popping back open again. The USB charging port on the bag is not rated for a very high wattage. Plugging a power bank in and charging from the other side results in a MUCH slower charging speed. It is not worth it for the penalty, and the port is overall just cheaply made. The velcro on the laptop sleeve/bag and the front pocket is of very poor quality. Over time, it quickly wears and stars tearing (individual fibers coming out). This renders the strap essentially useless. For something that can last a long time, I would not recommend this bag at all. There are much better options. Lastly, the customer service is very poor. The moment you bring an issue up to them, they will proceed to ghost you and not respond if it is related to the backpack/quality issues of it. Do not expect to get anything in return if you get an issue.

> 3 dayLet me tell you something. This backpack beats on so many levels in comparison to the $70 jansport one I purchased my son in September that fell apart. So many pockets in and out and I especially appreciate the mesh water bottle pockets on both sides. There is also a charger port to hook up Your portable charger etc Has a heavy duty cushioned handle up top and straps are very sturdy.

> 3 dayThis is my second backpack from this company, the last one lasted me at least three years and I loved it. So, when the strap was slowly starting to break on the first one after a few years, I decided to get another one.

> 3 dayThis backpack seems sturdy enough. I carry tons of papers with me. It will be able to acomódate my 15.6 laptop in its protective sleeve whenever I need to add the laptop. It has good pockets, but not so many that I cant find my stuff. I like the rear pocket, it is large and secure. It has a zipped credit card size compartment on one of the straps, that may be useful. I like how the logo does not stand out. The handle size fine for me because I dont want a big handle, easy for someone to grab off of me. I was carrying a dumpy purple shoulder bag intended for other purposes, and finally decided it was extremely unflattering to use.
