Sized as advertised, sturdy, functional with right amount of pockets, and looks good.

My only complaint with this backpack is that the waterproof pouch got ripped while packing for an upcoming trip. I decided not to return it because I wouldnt have enough time to order a new one. I was disappointed because thats the reason I specifically chose this one. Otherwise I love it.

Our new go to weekend travel bag has everything that you could possibly need including a separate zippered wet items compartment for stowing your swim gear or towels, etc…this has compartments within compartments and then easily expands for even more space to bring more things back home with you. Has top and side handle as well as hidden away shoulder straps for easy carrying, bringing on a plane or throwing in the car with all your electronics and clothing to spare.

this bag holds more than i expected

This bag was excellent to pack for a 3 day girls trip. I didnt have to check my bag (while others did) and it was comfortable to wear and nice to have my hands free. However, it ripped within hours of the first use. I saw other comments about this, took the chance, but will be returning.

This travel backpack is pretty awesome! Very well thought out! I have not seen too many backpacks that include all the features one would want and need for a travel backpack. The pockets and nooks and crannies are endless useable space for any traveler and the main compartment for clothes or the suitcase area is spacious! The fact that you can go from using it as a backpack to a suitcase (You can hide the back pack straps and carry it by the handle like you would with a regular suitcase is great! You can also attach it to a suitcase trolley which is pretty cool. One could also use this as an everyday backpack for work or school and it will carry I would guess most laptops with ease. I tried to offer the use of this to my husband who was going on a 10 day trip shortly after it arrived but he thought it to be not a very manly color for him so he declined. The blue/purple color is beautiful in my opinion. All the straps can be hidden away which I like, so if you want to use as just a suitcase there are no straps hanging anywhere. One of the best things I can think of with this back pack is the fact that it folds down so it is easily stored away when not in use and it doesnt take up a lot of space. Although I have not used this for air travel, I can assume it is small enough to be a carry on bag. There is enough room, in my opinion for up to a weeks adventure in travel. There is nothing I can see that I do not like about this bag! This backpack is so versatile, one would be sorry if they did not give this bag a try!

I routinely travel with a 22” rolling suitcase that I check in with the airline and a small backpack as a carryon. The Matein backpack caught my attention not just because of the attractive periwinkle color, but because the capacity is listed as 50L. Maybe, I thought, I would have enough room to carry extras but not have to stuff my carryon to capacity. And maybe have enough room to bring back some souvenirs from my travels. The backpack is made of high-quality fabric. The many zippers are sturdy, and the stitching is reinforced at key points. There are a few pockets on the inside, but most of the capacity is one large space, with an x-shaped strap for holding things in place. Several more pockets on the outside are designed for flat items. Anything bulky would need to go into the main compartment. The zipper compartment where you can hide the shoulder straps is wide, making it quick and easy to tuck the straps away. A handy luggage strap on the back side allows you to slip the backpack onto the handle of a roller bag. If the strap were placed a little higher, the bag, which is almost as big as my suitcase, would balance better. I’ll probably bring along a bungee cord to attach the backpack more securely. Before boarding a flight, I like to move all the items I will be needing close at hand (tablet, phone, charger, toothbrush, sweater) into a tote bag along with my purse so my carryon can stay up in the overhead bin. When using the Matein backpack, I will be able to prep my tote and pack it on top of everything and then pull it out before my boarding group is called. The size/capacity of the backpack is a plus, but it could also be a handicap. More space means you can pack more stuff. More stuff means more weight. Because the backpack is non-structured, the weight is going to be on your shoulders rather than on your hips. So you’ll need to find the sweet spot between how much you want to carry with you and how much you can comfortably carry and lift. My travels for 2022 are done. I’ll be looking forward to trying out this roomy backpack on my 2023 trips.

This bag is a perfect for my spouse when we travel, this bag can take the place of both of her normal bags on my short weekend trips, the multiple expandable pockets give her all the room needed to pack outfits, electronics, and a pair of shoes. Also has a waterproof pouch for toilet items, makeup and liquids. The construction is solid with many options and pockets to travel well, youre able to use a lock on the zippers to secure your laptops and personal items. hide away shoulder straps are a neat design, and the handles are good for carrying as well. Great bag, recommend for any travelers..

I gave this a a Christmas present for my oldest daughter who loves to travel! It’s great quality, the perfect size and holds a lot.
