I love this umbrella but it does take a lot of force to close it

This umbrella is called a travel umbrella, but I think it’s a little too big and heavy for long distance travel. Maybe for a quick trip or car trip it would be helpful, but I would be reluctant to bring it for a long s distance trip. As to the umbrella itself, it’s very sturdy and strong. It must weigh over a pound as it’s a beefy mechanism that seems to be very well constructed with nice materials. As other reviewers have stated, once you remove the outer sleeve, getting it back in is nearly impossible. Not a big deal, as this is pretty common and really not necessary. The spring mechanism works great.

I was surprised by the size and weight of this travel umbrella. Its about 13 long and close to a pound in weight. I am used to much smaller and lighter weight ones. This however, does seem to be quite sturdy and I believe will be durable. The spring action is quite forceful, so you will want to hold away from your body when opening and closing this umbrella. The inverted design does not prevent dropping or splashing.

Be careful when opening because this umbrella packs a punch. Its easy to open and close and comfortable to hold. Well see how long it Iasts, but it appears to be well constructed.

It comes with a cover and a velcro strap to keep it compact when not in use. Once removed, there is a button on the base that quickly and effectively opens it fully, so you wont be fiddling with it (and getting wet) while stepping out of your vehicle. When you are inside again, it also closes at the push of a button (at least partially), though it will take a bit longer to push it back into the base, tighten the strap and re-affix the cover. It is well made and the material seems like it will last a bit, so long as the conditions you use it in are reasonable. Cons: Just takes a bit to get it back in its pouch, but no more so than similar models.
