I bought a Trezor one here last year, used it maybe 3 times, and now its totally BRICKED. Lights up when plugged into its crappy micro-USB cable, but thats ALL. None of my computers recognize the thing! My girlfreinds computer doesnt recognize it. Windows 7 doesnt recognize it. Windows 10? nada! Trezor.io (the browser based application / software used to manage your crypto) just says Connect your Tezor to continue IT IS CONNECTED!!! Thank god I only put $50 worth of crypto on it last year as a TEST. Well, TEST FAILED. Im no idiot or computer newb. I have over 35 years of professional and personal experience with all manner of computer hardware and software. The build quality is terrible - cheap plastic - so I babied the thing. I went through all the usual troubleshooting tactics and web forum searches. I am not alone in having this problem. So I contacted Trezor support, and all I got was an automated response saying We are very busy right now, so it might take us 3 weeks to get back to you (!) That was 4 weeks ago - still nothing. Very busy? Yea, Ill BET! Imagine if instead of putting $50 worth of Bitcoin on this POS last year, Id put $5000 on it! Id be sweating bullets right now, because instead of trying to recover my keys for $500 worth of coin, Id be sweating $50,000! This is totally unacceptable. A device like this must be UTTERLY RELIABLE. Bulletproof construction, and flawless software / hardware that interfaces seamlessly with a variety of computer platforms. It must be future proof - as in you can retrieve your keys on the device itself, completely air-gapped from any hackable buggy PC / Mac / Phone / USB / Bluetooth / WiFi BS. Yes - I have the &^%$ seed phrase, but guess what? I have to BUY ANOTHER TREZOR to and restore my keys to another POS to recover them! They dont tell you that part in their marketing do they? Since I now have ZERO TRUST in this company and its products, Im going to have to buy another hardware wallet like a Ledger (They have problems too - the company was hacked and leaked private customer data) and transfer my meager stash of BTC to it, and then Ill put the TWO POS Trezors in a BLENDER and hit Frappe so they can never hurt anyone ever again. For those of you keeping score here, Im looking at spending a total of at least $150 (cost of 2 Trezors and a Ledger Nano S) - NOT counting Bitcoin mining fees - to recover and cold store $500 worth of BTC now! Im starting to think the whole cold storage thing is a VERY BAD IDEA. Even if you manage to find perfectly reliable hardware wallets that will somehow not become obsolete and unreadable 1, 5, 10 or 20 years from now, you still have to keep the wallet secure from theft, not lose or damage it, and pray to god it WORKS when you need your crypto. Yes, exchanges get hacked. But they also usually make their clients whole afterwards, or they go out of business. Spread your holdings around in several of the biggest like Coinbase, Kraken, Binance, and Gemini, and let THEM deal with security. Youll also gain liquidity. That, or buy a dozen Ledgers and dont put any more crypto on any single one than you are prepared to lose. Just sayin....

Double check which coins are compatible with each trezr version. I would have bought the more expensive one if I knew it would work with XMR

After researching (a lot!) I found that the Trezor 1 would be an extremely safe way to go in storing my cryptocurrency. As a newbie to the crypto world Im leery of all these websites/exchanges/brokers so I wanted something that I could use immediately after I purchased any cryptocurrency. The Trezor is very easy to set up and use through the Trezor website. Although noting is 100% I dont understand how anyone would ever be able to hack a Trezor wallet...its not connected to anything until you plug it in! And then you have some pretty serious security measures just to link up to the Trezor site, which is awesome! So far Ive been able to send crypto from my Coinbase account to my Trezor wallet within seconds and with no issues. HIGHLY recommend one of these for any cryptocurrency owner!

I cannot blame the product because i am not 100% certain, but with the level of care i put into backing up the wallet and triple checking my seed phrase, i am led to believe the first seed phrase the device gave me was a dud... Currently locked out of my bitcoin, did a firmware update and when i was asked to reenter the seed phrase it didnt work. Im not blaming trezor, but i wanted to at least state my experience in a review so if this happens to anyone else we might be able to find a pattern and recourse.

Trezor cold storage is a fantastic device and far more secure than storing crypto currencies on the web or on software wallet. Easy to setup. The web based software its great but, I have few complains: - The bitcoin wallet is far more informative then the other crypto currencies (Litecoin, Dash, ...). With bitcoin you can see the value of your bitcoin in dollar based on the current exchange value. There is nice chart that shows wallet value overtime. - All wallets list all transactions instead of paginating them, which is is very common situation when mining daily. The page loads slowly. The solution suggested by Trezor of moving funds to multiple wallets is not practical. - Ethereum is supported via third party wallet, not great. - Monero is not supported .... sight!

Dont Be Scammed by Paper Wallets For Cold Storage like I was. I bought 4 paper wallets with Bitcoin for holding offline only to discover they were empty! I was just supposed to hold them and trust the seller. I did. But after a couple of months instinct told me to check them and see their worth for myself and Oh boy, Im glad I did check them. I was planning to give them to family members for one day having a small but delightful nest egg to claim. Unfortunately, the rate of the scams didnt cease but I became a more savvy owner. I bought a Trezor. Of all of the ups and downs Ive experienced buying and storing Bitcoin, this form of storing my cryptos Trezor is the best. It takes the doubt away from egregious dealings and puts control in the holders hands. At the time, I only purchased one but wish Id purchased two. It can store the following: Bitcoin Cash (BCH) Bitcoin Gold (BTG) Dash (DASH) Litecoin (LTC) Zcash (ZEC) Ethereum (ETH) Ethereum Classic (ETC) I have since gotten out of crypts but I still recommend this form of storage. Why have I gotten out of them? Because the exchanges arent secure. The American ones are there to collect information and still havent approved me, lol. Its funny because I am the most honest person you can ever meet. Heck, I worked and retired from the D.O.J. (Department of Justice), yet there is distrust from most exchanges because of my race. Wow. I kept my cryptos on foreign exchanges but now Im just tired of dealing with the volatility and the hacking of them. Everyone is being hit. And so it isnt stable yet. But should I return to them I will store in my Trezor.

This trezor is a sweet little hardware wallet. It holds bitcoin, litecoin, etherium, etherium classic and zcash. It also holds all erc20 tokens as it is compatible with my ether wallet which is a pretty cool feature. With the trezor you only have to remember one key (that you decide) and all of your cryptos are safe. too easy right? So STOP leaving ur cryptos on the exchange for someone to steal. The set up is simple and easy to use even for beginners. I highly recommend this to people who are first time hardware wallet buyers, because at under $100 it is a great deal for much needed security for your money! Be smart and protect yourself with a hardware wallet! *Just know that you have to use chrome browser to open it! Hope this review helps :)

Bad stuff first: If you create a wallet on your desktop and store your private keys on this device then you will not be able to plug this device into your iPhone to restore the wallet there (in case you like to check it from time to time on the go, like me). However, as you will most likely be HODLing if you are considering purchasing this device then this shouldn’t really be a huge issue. Also, the number of supported coins for this device is rather limited. Heck, Cardano is the 3rd largest cryptocurrency and it’s not supported. I’d encourage you not to use the default trezor software as your wallet. I also can’t figure out how to make the password saving feature for this work. Good stuff: It is secure, never been hacked and is sleek. Setting it up is fairly intuitive and it makes sure you’re aware how the seed phrase is to be protected and other things like that - so I’d say it’s beginner friendly. The trezor community/support is also very nice and has helped me a bit. Overall I’d say this device is on par with Ledger. Though it really comes down to whether or not your coin(s) of choice are supported by this device and if you care that it’s not iOS compatible.
