Tsurumi - HS2.4S-62 HS2.4S; semi-Vortex Submersible Trash Pump w/Agitator, 1/2hp, 115V, 2 Discharge Blue

I dont write very many reviews, but I thought that this pump deserved one. During heavy rain, my grease pit in my shop floods and fills up with water. The pit is 4 ft. Wide 6ft. Deep and 20 ft. Long and I had water about 4 ft. deep. This pump worked wonders, it drained it down to about 3 inches deep in less than an hour. It keeps the 2 inch discharge hose solid with water the entire time . I didnt completely submerge it, just kept the impeller section below the water surface and had no issues whatsoever. The only drawback is that the pump can only pump water down to about 3 inches deep unless you put it below grade. Which is nothing wrong with the design, as its not made to do anything differently. All in all, I would highly recommend this pump for anyone needing to remove a lot of water fast. Its rated at 53 gallons per minute and I believe that it maintains that very well.

I have this pump model as an open marsh sump pump. it runs when water level in a collector drum operates the float. This is the third unit to fail in 10 years. This one was purchased in July 2014 and I think the price is comparatively high for only one years service. Other folks seem to think it is 240v and 1hp with no float. That is some other model.( when I first bought, it was <$200) 120volt 1/2hp with float and 10-12ft of cable. No extended warranty available, I guess I have found out why!! I am trying a different make and model which is under $150 same features.

Excellent! Durable. Great quality. Watch their YouTube video. Our street flooded when the sump pump motors failed. This little motor pumped all of the water in less than an hour. YOU MUST BUY THE HOSE! Get the blue hose that is recommended. No need to buy the small coupling link.

Amazing pump... the pump that last for years after constant acid wash for pools

This is one powerful pump! It does the job in a most expeditious fashion.

I have only usee this pump once but I use a varity of pumps regularly and everything about this pump is well made. I used this right out of the box for cleaning out sediment from the bottom of a industrial boiler sump, lots of sediment and hot water and it never skiped a beat. Six hours straight run time and several thousand gallons of water later and I have no complaints. Its a much better product than what youll get at a box store. This is the three year later follow up review. We still use this pump regularly. We have thousands of hours of run time on it and it still runs like new. I would buy this again without hesitation.

This pump is a beast it will move the water even with trash around the unit. We use it to empty a grey water line pond it is amazing! Easy to install just connect the tubing or plumbing that you wish to use and plug it in and let the pump work.
