Absolutely but this kit - my boys had so much fun making these, and they turned out adorable!!

This was a great and fun way to celebrate the 4th with the ease of the kit. Yes, you don’t need to do it as a kit...you can buy things separately. But what a breeze!

We made shirts for all of the young cousins in our family. We were excited for them all to be together! The shirts turned out great. Very user friendly. All of the shirts, no matter the technique, turned out perfect! Very vibrant!

Loved doing this & they turned out cute! We did 6 kids shirts from 18 mo-7T & 2 adults shirts. Colors are awesome, fun & not too long of an activity. Get an extra bottle of red for sure! And a throw away plastic table cloth. Definitely super messy, but worth it! Also note, per the directions, youre not going to get to wear these home the same day you make them. 6-8 hrs wait + wash then dry for best results.

My 2 year old and 4 year old enjoyed making our own 4th of July shirts. However there are multiple blue colors and only 1 red color so it was constant fight over who was going to use red and we ran out pretty quickly.

We were able to dye 11 pieces of clothing(6 kids shirts and 5 onesies). If you are purchasing to make several Adult shirts, I would recommend getting 2 of these kits or a separate red kit as there was not enough red dye in this kit. I wish I would have listened to the reviewers before me about there not being enough red dye in this kit to do their shirts. I would also recommend putting masking tape with the names of the color over each bottle of dye as they look virtually the same once each colored cap is taken off. It was very easy to use, you just add water to the dye and there were no specific directions to prep the shirts other than getting them a bit damp. Some dyes require a soda ash soak but this dye kit didn’t require that. No matter how hard we shook the dye bottles there was still a sediment deposit(like little speckles of dye) on the shirts. It was fine and was washed out during the rinse and wash process. Overall I would buy this kit again but remember to add an extra bottle of red dye to my order!

I wasn’t thrilled with the actual colors of the dyes. They didn’t really match the color of the caps at all & 3 of the 5 colors look almost identical. The red dye deposited dye sediment on the fabric no matter how well I mixed it. Haven’t rinsed it out yet, so I can’t speak to whether it washes out or not. I disagree with the people that said they were able to do >5 projects with this set, unless it was baby clothes. 1 bottle was only enough for 1 small & 1 medium adult shirt and neither had super large sections of the color. I plan on trying a different brand for future projects.

Easy to use. Was able to dye an XL shirt and a baby onesie with just one bottle.
