> 3 dayI was very excited to make some tiedye shirts with my youngest. This was very easy to do and we even did it indoors without making a huge mess. It was fun. That said, the colours were beautiful when I first rinsed them out, but upon machine washing them initially I feel they looked faded and old. These were 100% cotton, white t-shirts that had been laundered to remove the sizing. I let them sit in plastic bags in a bright room for over 8 hours and the shirts were still much more faded after washing them than they were after rinsing. That was very disappointing considering how lovely they looked when they were first rinsed. The next time I tie-dye we are going to try some tricks to brighten the dye, such as using dry fabrics instead. Hopefully that will improve my impression of this product.

> 3 dayColors came out strong. Washed the shirts and left them damp, let the shirts soak in trash bags for about 16 hours before rinsing. I feel no need to soak the shirts with Ash on this kit. Protip: It only comes with one black but heres a workaround. Place a pan or something under your dying rack surface and let the folks who do not want to use black go first. The run off colors will mix in the pan and basically turn black so you will have much more to work with on later items if you siphon that back into a bottle.

> 3 dayThis kit was amazing! We used it for the 4th of July family reunion we tie-dyed 20 shirts and 20 pairs of socks, and only finished around half of the bottles of dye. This is a great kit for big families or big groups tie-dye projects!

Greater than one weekMade several shirts using this dye. Not at all happy with the color quality. Used a lot of the dye on each project. The colors are not very bright or concentrated. Even left the colors on overnight +18 hrs. And the colors look faded. The yellow and red are the worst so far the red looks pink and the yellow washed out to a pale yellow. I would not recommend if you like brilliant colors.

19-11-2024Really happy with this purchase. The kit we received included all of the colors shown in the picture I took: 3 red, 3 orange, 2 yellow, 2 yellow-green, 3 green, 2 teal, 3 lt blue, 1 blue, 2 purple, 3 navy blue, 1 fuchsia, 2 hot pink, 1 lt pink, 1 tan, 1 black. Plus lots of gloves, rubber bands, and plastic sheets to protect table tops. They were a hit for my 7th/8th grade art club students (about 30 members). They were each able to make 2 t-shirts and I still have dye left over for my daughter to experiment with!

> 3 dayBought this for my little sister and she has dye for daysss. The bottles are on the smaller side compared to the smaller packs you’d buy, but i prefer it that way, less mess and have more untouched dye for the future. Comes with so many bottles and gloves and rubber bands, it has everything you need! Easy to use and super fun for all ages.

> 3 dayI bought this kit to tie dye t-shirts during a camp trip for 25 adults. It was alot of fun. Since there were several of us we made an assembly line of the various steps so that we were all experiencing steps together. Definitely wear gloves when you do this and do be careful not to pop the little dye caps off over the table. Several of us had the misfortune to have another person splash their dye color onto our project when they uncapped over the table. Also be sure to wipe the table surface clean after each project so that your shirt doesnt pick up unwanted residual color from a previous project. It seemed as the Tshirts dried, the colors were less vibrant. For myself, I wanted to be sure to see the blaxk printed words on the Tshirt I dyed, so the fact that they got lighter as they dried, was ok by me. We planned to do this on a Friday morning to that the shirts could set and we could rinse them out on Saturday morning and hang to dry before we left the campground on Sunday. Be sure to save your gloves and wear them when you remove the rubber bands and rinse the shirt on the following day. Each shirts unwrapping and reveal was a grand surprise every time. It was an explosion of color, patterns and designs. I would definitely do this again! PS - purple, turquoise, lime green, hot pink were popular colors that ran out first. Good thing there wwre a couple bottles of this color in the kit!
