I ordered this item for my portable air unit. It did not fit as it was a little wider than the connection piece to my unit. But overall the item is sturdy and does expand over 6ft.

I did order the wrong size, BUT I did still use this one for my portable ac unit just had to have some tape around it to hold in place. It worked very well.

Only time will tell, but this appears considerably more durable than the original on my Honeywell portable AC unit. Easy to install and plenty of length for most applications.
