> 24 hourPerformance is amazing paired with my Edgerouter ER4. I tried 2 other cheaper switches (unmanaged and managed) that couldnt deliver performance wise and lacked easy to use features. The EdgeSwitch 8 allows me to setup some home/office/IOT VLANs. Im getting over 980 Mbps download speeds on my cable ISP consistently. Theres a huge amount of examples and YouTube training videos to get you started. Not hard if youve played with routers or networking before.

> 24 hourExcellent device, supports all major protocols and technologies out there. Must have if you need passive and poe+ on the same device with tons of features.

> 24 hourI liked this switch because it is fan-less so it is totally quiet and runs extremely cool. Come with mounting ears but will not fit a standard 19 rack. The ears are designed so you can wall mount it. This can be a 10 port GB Copper switch using 2 copper SFPs (I used ABCU-5700RZ 1000 Base-T 25GBd for the pictures) You will see the link on port 9 in picture 1. Picture 2 is of the VLAN setup which is very simple. Picture 3 shows the PoE which supports both 48 volt auto-negotiate or 24 Volt passive assigned by port. Ships with firmware 1.4 but 1.7 was available. Helpful tip, when uploading the firmware to the switch it took a long time so do not get impatient. I have used the Ubiquiti 24 port EdgeSwitch for years so I was very used to the GUI. It is pretty easy to follow regardless of your experience. In comparing similar products, the 8 port Ubiquiti ToughSwitch is less money than this but the throughput of this, two SFP ports and 150W of total power make it good choice. Plus, this new version will be supported for a long time. This switch has advanced Port Channel (LAG) but I could not test that functionality. This switch me all of my expectations. Any questions, please ask.

> 24 hour1. Just be sure you know the difference between the US-8-150w and ES-8-150w. Both are similar, but if you have existing Unifi/Ubiquiti wireless gear - you will want the other model (US-8/white). If not, then you want this one (ES-8/black). Both are excellent, but only if you get the one better suited for your network. 2. There isnt much that this switch cant do - and for the price - its phenomenal: All 8 ports are GB and POE+ (and you have 2 additional SFP ports), LAG, VLANs, Ping Watchdog (if POE device fails to respond it will cycle power on the port), STP, etc. 3. You can configure it via Web interface or SSH/command line or not at all. Plug it up and by default it will get a DHCP ip address and work as a regular switch.

> 24 hourI bought the Ubiquiti EdgeMax router a while back and was impressed. Had an old Cisco 2960 10/100 switch and some PoE injectors running the wired portion of my house. Got rid of 4 injectors and the old switch and replaced with this one unit. EASY setup and management! Saw my PoE devices and auto configured the power settings. Small footprint and VERY quiet. Great hardware and a decent feature set.

> 24 hourWorks perfectly if you dont actually need an Enterprise switch. I use it to power a few AP for my office that has video conferencing, VPN data compiling coding, streaming movies, Gaming. never any errors in its log.

> 24 hourWhat an incredible little switch! Ive been running one of the 24-port EdgeSwitch products for a few months now and I loved it. I needed a small PoE switch for a closet downstairs to run some IP Cameras which require PoE. My two main options were this or a Netgear ProSafe 8-port switch, also with 2 SFP ports. I decided to go with this switch, and I cannot complain at all! I had it up and operational within 5-8 minutes without any problem or hesitation! Ive had it going for just shy of 4 weeks now without a single issue. It stays pretty cool, even with 5 ports PoE going! My only gripe about this is that the interface can slow down pretty significantly sometimes, but it frankly doesnt matter when the hardware itself doesnt. I cannot recommend this hardware enough!
