Its definitely not shielded and cant be used for recording. Dont waste your money on this cable.

I bought this and a 1/8 to 1/4 version for the sound crew at my church. They are used to run audio out of a laptop (1/8 to stereo 1/4) and also a record line from the mixer back to the laptop (1/4 TRS to 1/8). They seem to work quite well. I was impressed by the quality of the build - the braided covers give the line a very tough and rugged sense. They should last quite awhile.

This cable is 100% perfect for my needs! The firm yet flexible cord is great for nearly any routing situation. The cord has a diameter of roughly 2.4cm by my measurements. Ive noticed absolutely no issues with audio bleeding into or out of the cables, nor have I noticed any noise. This cable is flawless as far as Im concerned.

They arent as thick as I thought they might be, but I suspect its because they are likely a 24awg wire inside. In any case, they do seem well built and fit snuggly into my sub and aux switch.

This product is good. I have no complaints. But Amazon seems to have gone bad some how. I have just written another review about another product that I bought a second time to test If the product was a rip. off. Yup; both did not work after about six months. Every review listed under this other product says something like the product does not work after two weeks. Yet, Amazon has had this product on sale for years and still does. Given that Amazon has been accused of price gouging during an emergency, which is unlawful in some state. I dont know how long theyll last. Maybe Ill dump my stock.
