US Art Supply Artist Wood Pastel, Pen, Marker Storage Box with Drawer(s) (Large Tool Box)

My parents gave me this box for Christmas. So Ive had it for less than 2 weeks. The day after Christmas I noticed a huge crack on the side of it. A few days later I noticed the beginning of a crack on the other side and it seems very week right down the middle of the bottom after I loaded all my art supplies in it. I expect it to crack soon. The top piece of particle board has also started to separate. :( the handles and latches seem sturdy and the compartments were nice. Just seems like it was built with a damaged piece of wood that was sloppily puttied back together in order to try to pass off as good :( Im so sad. I was so excited for this art box! I would make my parents return it but I already got a smudge of paint on it and dont want them to feel bad about what they got me. Anyhow. Super disappointed in this box :(

Not the most quality box in the world the edges did not quite line up and the wood divides have a itsy bitsy dab of glue so they come right off also the little top shelf insert just kinda sits on top of everything in the box and is very loose. Would be good as a blank canvas for a box project tho

This box is very well made. Came without any flaws. Exactly as pictured.

When I received this box my first reaction was that it seems nice, big and sturdy. Then I examined it closer and there were some flaws, like the wood doesnt have a good finish and it has cracks, damaged wood in some places which could have been diminished with proper sand papering and polishing. This box is made of beech wood, has brass hinges, latches, and a leather handle with lots of storage space. It has eight separate, removable storage dividers for organization. But like I mentioned previously the finish however is poor and is very rough to touch. I have decided to paint it and with this it will look a lot better. It is a little pricey for a no finish, no polish box. It does have good capacity though and is a solid product. What could have made this a classic wooden storage box and worth the price, would have been a clear polyurethane finish which would give the wood a nice classy look and a protected coat. However the fact remains that this unit comes bare wood, so if you want to, you could stain it, or paint it, which could add to the fun if you have bought it for the kids. I liked the simplicity of this box. Over all even with the flaws it does look lovely and is beautifully tactile. Would recommend to anyone needing a storage box of this type. My desk is in my studio, a separate building from our house. I wanted a place to keep art and writing supplies organized in the house. This box is exactly right.

This is a really well made wood case for art crafts or other project storage. Leather handle for easy carrying. Movable inserts to optimize storage inside. Definitely recommend this case.
