> 3 dayI plugged this into a USB 3 port on my laptop this morning, connected a network cable, and turned off the wifi. I didnt see any messages about my laptop installing any drivers for this. A few seconds later I checked the network connection icon in the lower right corner and noticed that it had a LAN connection; the yellow and green lights on the adapter are also active as one would expect (green is solid, yellow is flashing indicating traffic). There was nothing to setup or configure. The device looks well-built. To confirm that it actually worked, I opened Outlook and also a couple of web browsers. I am receiving emails, and Im also able to browse without any problems. Maybe its just my imagination, but this connection seems faster than the connection I get when using the ethernet port built-in to the laptop. The reason I got this is because I need to connect my laptop to two different networks at the same time. I do Zoom broadcasts for my church on Sundays, so its necessary to use wired connections instead of relying on the wifi in the building. With only a single ethernet port, Ive had to have the PTZ cameras on the buildings main network which includes internet traffic and connections by members. By having a second ethernet port, Ill be able to isolate the cameras on their own network and leave Zoom on the building network for broadcasting. Im looking forward to this to see if it reduces the video latency.

> 3 dayThis LAN adapters works perfectly for what I bought it for, which is for use with the Switch. Sometimes the Switch can be finicky in whether or not it will take a LAN adapter depending on its chipset used. In this case, it worked immediately without any issues. I was able to load up an online game of Smash Bros Ultimate without any noticeable lag. On the network test screen, it shows a wired connection of approximately ~55Mbps download and ~15Mbps upload. tl;dr: If you came here looking for a Nintendo Switch LAN adapter, buy with confidence!

> 3 dayI took it out of the box and plugged it into my ethernet-less laptop and gave it a few seconds to configure itself. I then plugged up an ethernet cable and waited about 20-30 seconds for it to get the connection and give internet and I was then up and running. AWESOME!!!

> 3 dayI live in a Wi-Fi saturated environment and I like to keep as many of my devices that are critical on a wired connection to cut down on interference, dropouts and slowdowns. While its too early to tell if this will minimize the amount of disconnects I get while playing Splatoon 3, I can speak to the fact that this works with the Nintendo Switch. Installation was a breeze, plugging it into an available USB port on the dock and then attach an ethernet cable into my switch. Changed the connection in the settings of the Switchs menu from Wi-Fi to wired and it was done. Conducted a self test of the network in the Switchs menu and it worked with flying colors. Speed values were a little off, but I think that has more to do with the inner workings of the Switch itself, as on a Wi-Fi connection I was seeing similar if not worse values. Nice, compact unit, fit my needs perfectly, recommended.

Greater than one weekThis excellent USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet adapter works great! It was easy to install (there is no installation) and performs as advertised! I plugged it into my Windows 10 PC and it was recognized almost instantly and just worked. I then tried it on my Lubuntu laptop and again it was recognized instantly and worked flawlessly. I got this so I could transfer files more quickly across my home network than I can with WiFi. It will work perfectly for the task. The adapter feels solid and well built and appears to have a metal case over the ethernet end of it. It feels high quality. I like that. The only issue I have with it is the cord between the USB connector and the ethernet end feels a little stiff, but I think itll eventually become more flexible with use and it isnt going to break or anything. It feels firm, but it isnt too much of a flaw. Overall a great adapter at a great price!!

> 3 dayI purchased this USB to ethernet adapter to solve a problem I was having with a four-year old Lenovo laptop. For some unknown reason, the laptop was not recognizing my primary Wi-Fi network or the hotspot from my iPhone, making it impossible to connect it with the Internet. I plugged the Fairikabe adapter into an open USB port on the laptop and connected the other end to an ethernet cable coming from a ethernet switch and, voila, the laptop was online. There are no special features to this adapter but I love it when technology works as designed without requiring an elaborate set up or configuration process.

> 3 dayI wanted to wire a mini pc I got instead of going through wifi and hoped this would do it. If it required any drivers the pc did it automatically because I plugged it in and was wired with much better speeds right away so Im happy. The OS is Windows 10 if that makes any difference to it being plug and play.

> 3 dayThis thing is built strong and tough and just works. Plug it into a USB port on your laptop or PC, connect an Ethernet cable, wait a few seconds for the familiar USB connection chime, and youre all set. It really is that easy. No drivers to install, no app to configure, no nothing. Just plug it in and start surfing or transferring files over the network. There is not much else to say about this adapter, except that it works very well, and transfer/connection speeds are as good as the built-in NIC port on my PC. With this adapter, I am limited only by my Internet connection speed (which is nowhere near 1 gigabit.) Still, this thing is awesome. Highly recommended. Build Quality - 5/5 Body and cable built like a tank. Super tough. Speed - 5/5 As good or better as the built-in NIC on my PC. Ease of Use - 5/5 Nothing can be easier. Just plug it in and it works. Value for Money - 5/5 At $13, this is a steal. Overall Score - 5/5 Great product and excellent value
