This was previously reviewed by me and then returned before I found a poor setting on a new PC that I use primarily as a media server (Im a Mac guy and usually dont mess much with PCs even though Im OK with them). My apologies to both the vendor and to the community. The device is priced well and has plenty of the right kinds of ports. It does not come with an external power supply and a USB C device of this sort really should have one, even if you have to provide it yourself. The reason for that is that the C-type ports can supply significant amounts of power to attached devices and they need to get it from somewhere. Its better, IMO, that they draw that power from an external power supply than from your computer. So, overall, Id suggest that you try this device - it worked well when I had it working and the reason I panned it before was entirely the fault of my not recognizing that a setting in Windows 11 was not right and that it quit working due to the Windows setting, not the device itself.
