Arrived quickly and it looks like a good inflator. Haven’t used it yet.

This pump is much faster that any other dedicated home inflator that I have had. Most home inflators I have had would take several minutes to fill a bike tire from empty to 55PSI; this one does it in less than a minute. It is quiet compared to most other, less powerful pumps. My only complaint is that it gets hot fast, allowing me to do only about four tires before needing to cool for several minutes. I suppose the heat from the air compression is inevitable, but additional metal cooling fins in place of the silver plastic covers would have helped. With16 tires to check on my various vehicles, this means the I spend about the same overall amount of time getting the job done despite the faster fill time per tire. Still I would rate this a a great addition to your home garage.

UUP Tire Inflator Air Compressor, 150PSI 12V DC Double Cylinders Heavy Duty Portable Air Ok folks, this is an honest review. I have beel looking for a 12v dc air compressor for lidterally a couple years now. I was tired of those cheapies that either cant pump up the air while it sounds like it is going to fall apart, or just sound like they will struggle just to get a little air in the tire. Lets face it, when you are on the road and you have a tire that needs air, what are you gonna do? Thats where I was. I have a couple of really cheap air pumps and hoped they would work when I needed them, but I knew I had dto find something that was of better dependability. I noticed my tire was low on air, and I was out of town. My crappy 12v air compressors were at home. I dove into Amazon and started my continuing search for a 12v dc air compressor, but this time I HAD TO FIND ONE. I spent the better part of a day looking for a compressor, a lot of them just didnt look like they could hold up, looking much like my crappy ones at home. I paid a lot of attention to the reviews. This compressor had outstanding reviews. In reviews you expect to hear some crab complain about something stupid, usually from something THEY did to cause the problem. BUT not one bad complaint on thnis unit. Reading further, they talk about how sturdy this compressor was, the dual pistons, the strong motor. One fellow said he used it only on his 18 wheeler, and it preformed for him perfectly... THAT SOLD ME. I ordered to to be delivered where I was staying and it arrived in a coupld days. I read the instructions so I wouldnt miss anything important and went out to the car. THIS compressor has both a cigarette lighter plug and a pig tail that clamps onto the battery posts direct with the cig lighter plug socket where the compressor plug will plugs into. This compressor can take 20 amps (acording to the instructions) so you probably should not plug into the cars cigarette lighter sockete. Some are fused at 10 amps and this compressor will blow the fuse. The compressor cigarette plug also has a fuse, a 20 amp I think and you get a spare fuse or two. You also get a couple of nozzeles for blowing up sports balls and air toys plus you get an odd device that attaches to a screw driver. It has little horns stickin gout in variuos directions and from what I read, is for doing something that I will never do, to the tire. It mayh be to take the tire off the rim but Im not doing that. You also get a coiled hose that connects to the compressor and nozzel, but you may not need it. You get about 20 feet of electrical cord, which JUST REACHED my tire that was in trouble. This is where the coild of tubing might come in handy or hae an additional 25 foot of wire to connect to extend the rezch of the compressor. you would need a regular cigarette lighter socket on one end and aplug on the other. Plugging into the power we find the compressor has 2 switches, one is for the LED LIGHT and the other is to turn on the compressor motor. Attach the hose to the tire valve, you should get a PSI reading, mine was very low. Turning the motor switch on (strongly advised to have the car running when you do this), and the compressor comes to life. The sound of the compressor running is very different from that of the cheap compressors rattling away. THIS compressor sounds like a large installed compressor in a shop, the sound is muffled as it pumps air into the tire. The air guage monitors the PSI in the tire as it pumps up. This compressor had NO problem pumping up the tire in about 8 minutes. The compressor ran fine, and it had no problem pumping up that tire where my other compressors would be getting hot and struggling to pump the tire pressure up. The sound from the cheap compressors would be very loud where, again, this compressor is very low key, sounds substantial, well built. Filled the tire and took it to a shop where they promptly found a 1/4 inch bolt in the treads. The Tire was repaired and I was on my way. This pump saved the day. Thee is a LED light tdhat you can switch on to help see what you are doing. I RECOMEND THIS COMPRESSOR indeed. I do not know the seller nor did I receive any money or product for my random review 230315 1250

The other day my vehicle informed me that we had a tire with low pressure. With visions of a rapid deflation at speed followed by another vision of me and my beloved 4Runner being yeeted off the roadway and into a ditch full of rocks and poison ivy, most likely on fire, I searched for a nearby tire inflation machine. Now, I’ve been driving relatively new automobiles for 30 years or so, so my experiences from crappy old tires on nasty used cars at long-gone gas stations no longer applies. Now it seems that one must pay an extraordinary amount of money to use a tire inflation station at a 7/11 or Shell station, or a Cumberland Farms, or an off-brand gas station, all of which I visited in my odyssey to discover pressurized air. Who the heck has pocket shrapnel, ie change, anymore? I don’t even have the once-customary container full of change, replete with quarters. So the machines which demand anywhere from $2 and higher, happily (greedily) accept credit and debit cards. Well, sort of. They take the money, chuckle internally, and watch as you attempt to use their inoperable air pump. Six dollars and three stops later, I finally discovered a working inflator, paid my $2, and actually got air. I don’t like relying on any technology that only works 25% of the time, so I decided to buy a portable tire inflator. Off to the digital shopping paradise Amazon, and a detailed look at the highest rated pumps. The UUP Tire Inflator/compressor seemed like it would fit the bill, and it was on sale for $39.95. From the first use on, I have found this handy little compressor to be just the ticket. Well-made, equipped with a long hose and a long power cord, it takes only a few minutes to inflate a tire to the proper pressure. I immediately bought another and put it in my daughter’s car, after showing her how to use it properly. Highly recommend. 10/10

I was wondering what the quality of this compressor was going to be since it was made in China. Well, this compressor seems well built and works GREAT!!! I filled a completely flat 235/60/16 tire to 40 psi in just 5 minutes!!! The compressor has a high quality sound when its running, very similar to much larger and expensive compressors. I bought a 250 watt DC to AC converter from Amazon for $45 so I could plug it into a wall outlet ( this draws more AMPS than what my cars outlet is rated at ) It works awesome with this converter, I would strongly recommend the purchase of one of these just for the added convenience that it brings. If you do purchase a DC to AC converter make sure it has a maximum rating of AT LEAST 250 WATTS. The reason for this is, if you purchase one that has the MINIMUM 180 watts that this compressor would require to run you are already at the MAXIMUM wattage the converter is rated at and you would have VERY LIMITED time to use it before it would overheat. Overall you cant go wrong with this portable compressor. The only thing unknown for me right now is what the longevity of this compressor will be.

Compressor has been used twice. The bag that comes with it ripped by itself.

Buying this double cylinder metal air pump was the best decision I have made for my SUV in a very long time. I like to keep this portable air compressor in my truck in cases such as me getting a flat tire, it is easy to use and inflates in minutes. It even has emergency LED lights that help me when it’s dark outside. It is widely applicable with four different nozzles, it becomes a big help when it comes to going camping and having to blow up an air mattress or putting air back into my mountain bike tires.

The pressure guage reads 7 psi below the correct pressure. To pressure a tire to 40 psi on the guage you read 33psi. In other words 33 psi on the UUP Tire Inflator Air Compressor equals 40 psi tire pressure. A small item if you are aware of but it could be dangerous!
