> 3 dayI get sunburned easily, and in minutes. Even though sunscreen higher than 20. More like intense rashes that keep me from sleep a few days. I cannot thank the makers of this product enough. I was able to go on an 8 hour hike through Yosemite National Park on my Honeymoon and see double rainbows in waterfalls that I would never been able to hike to without misery the next three days. This umbrella WORKS! I did get a few stares along the hike for sure, but I think 98 percent of them were thinking how much they wanted shade and a cooler environment from which to enjoy our magnificent surroundings in Julys afternoon sun. I highly recommend this umbrella. Now when people look at my umbrella, I think, Yes, you can have shade too... Have we all learned by now that shade feels good... and is healthier too? (P.S. Less wrinkles and younger looking skin, if nothing else got you to at least think about it)

> 3 dayThe plus, is that it came earlier than expected. On day two of use, I noticed that the frame of the umbrella created tiny holes on the material. You could see them on the outer fabric. I believe that the fabric used is very delicate and the rod-like framework is sharp and creates these tiny holes in the material. I believe it has everything to do with the way the umbrella opens and closes. It literally shots it open and close with the button. I have own many umbrella before. This one is the first to open and close so quick (forces the frame open/close while pressing through the material). The shade is awesome even in high temperatures (105 degrees in dry heat). It makes it more bearable to walk in the heat! I am sad that this really didnt work out as I thought it would. Just wish the material was thicker and the rods not so sharp! That is why I am returning this umbrella within 1 week of purchase.

> 3 dayHello, My review of this Umbrella is after using it about five times in Florida weather, including very hot (about 3pm) sun/humidity, I mean VERY hot and on a moderate day with mild wind gusts. We walked about 1/4 mile each way testing out this umbrella. Both my daughter and I tested it and together we came up with our review. I hope this is helpful. I had also just purchased a $15.99 umbrella from Walgreens a few weeks prior so I will do some comparison with this one as well. 1. First impression of this umbrella was that for the price, it was small in circumference and felt (when holding) to be flimsy. My Walgreens umbrella felt about the same. I thought I had purchased a more sturdy, well built umbrella but IMO this is definitely not the case. 2. The mechanical aspect of this umbrella was not impressive either, in fact, the rods (for lack of better term) that hold the umbrella material were made of what felt like the typical cheap plastic from China. 3. The handle is quite small as you can see in the picture. Quite difficult to hold on to even in the slightest of wind. 4. VERY difficult to close. In fact, I had to press it against my stomach or a hard surface to get it closed. 5. Okay so about heat deflection....I honestly did not feel any difference underneath my Walgreens umbrella than I did this umbrella. Sure wish I had better news but for us anyway, this umbrella was a big disappointment and seems to be cheaply built or a least not built any better than the cheaper ones. See my pictures for more information Thank you for reading and I hope you have better luck than we did. I dont see a link to post photos but if you would like photos please contact me and I would be glad to send them to you.

Greater than one weekThis is my second umbrella; I purchased my first one in 2015 which was much more durable. For the last three weeks I have used this almost daily to hide from peak summer city sun, but it already broke and does not open or close properly. The fabric corners are also already showing signs of wear. The umbrella certainly should have lasted longer than 3 weeks! Additionally, it no longer holds up well in wind as the 2015 model did. A disappointing purchase.

Greater than one weekI finally wised up. I was using a regular umbrella for sun shade because I didnt know they made UV protective umbrellas. Then I tried a different brand (cheaper) and I found I could see the SUN shine through it. So I tired this UV-Blocker Compact Umbrella, and its impossible to see the sun through the material! Wow! And it does finally allow me to be comfortable in the Southern California Summer heat. Thank you UV-Blocker for this wonderful product.

> 3 dayI received first one broken. After trying another brand and finding their canopy still let a lot of light in, I decided to give this one another try. So I ordered this again, plus I was happy to find a medium size one just a smidge bigger, (I dont notice the size difference when I use), but without the compact folding. I hoped the simpler closing mechanism would wear better. So I bought two of these, the small compact and the medium. (they also make a golf umbrella umbrella, which I havent tried). Ive had both for a few months now, I predominantly use the medium, almost daily, and its held up well and is great. I love having it with a history of skin cancer and being in Arizona, I need this to walk dog or just go in and out of the yard doing chores during the day. Occasionally I use the compact, the size is nice if you travel, and I havent had any issues (or used a lot but I do use here and there). Im glad I gave it another try and the initial one that I received defective was hassle free to return and cost me nothing. So you dont have a lot to lose trying this out. Its been really great to have one of these.
