I really like the ease of use, the shade protection provided, and the color. I only wish the pictures for ordering on Amazon had been bigger...I ordered a color that wasnt my first preference because I couldnt see clearly on the ordering picture. However, I love everything else about it so Im happy.

The outer shell is just a very dark almost plastic like material. There is definitely no sun getting through this thing. It is great for what its purpose is for, to keep the sun off delicate skin! The open and close mechanism seems a little harsh and slams open and when you push the button again to close it snaps shut half way. Seems like something that is not going to hold up well over time. We shall see how long it last as time goes by and Im hoping my assessment is wrong and it stays serviceable for many years. UPDATE: In two weeks the first metal shaft has bent and the wrap pulled right out of the canopy which now has a hole in its place. I was hoping for better than two weeks when I originally reviewed the item. It was very diappointing and now I would say that I can not recommend this umbrella. Before you ask, it was not used in high wind and it was not smashed into anything that should have caused it to bend. My wife was using this and I guess she found some real strength to have the wrap get pulled out. If it doesnt hold up to normal use wrapping it up that is really bad. Glad it wasnt priced higher otherwise it would have hurt more. Dont know if it can be returned but if it can its going back and well try another brand. Ive had regular nylon umbrellas hold up longer than this one did!

Great looking and easy to open and close. Problem is they are HOT. While protecting you from direct sunlight, the black inner and outer motif creates an oven effect underneath. Way too hot in the sun!

I have only gotten to use this once during a small rain shower but so far I love it! It seems to be made very well and the flowers on the inside are beautiful! I expect this to be my new favorite umbrella!

Terrible! Opened and closed it exactly four times when it broke. I used the button every time as instructed. Hard to wrap the strap around it once its opened. Heavy. Bulky. Sad. I wanted this so much to be good. Returned.

Its a super sturdy umbrella and withstand moderate wind without collapsing. My only wish is that the spring to close the umbrella was not as stiff. Its difficult for a senior person to push it close and I do have to push it against the ground. Once it slipped and it sprung and hurt my leg and I ended up with a huge bruise. Other than that its a good umbrella

I bought this because several medications I and conditions I have make me sensitive to sunlight and heat. I had my doubts but I was so pleasantly surprised that this umbrella really helped with the temperature! I feel significantly cooler under this umbrella, easily 15 to 20 degrees Fahrenheit. I havent actually used it in a rain shower but I am sure it would do fine in all but the windiest of weather. Its very well made and cheerful to boot!
