Then the whole sleeve fits in my backpack. I didnt really need a handle, so the fact that the end handle on this one has a very low profile is perfect. I wanted a sleeve that was as small as possible that would fit my laptop and the stated internal dimensions were accurate, so I got exactly what I wanted.
