    Greater than one week

I was tired of those cheap plastic and metal solder suckers failing on me, usually by going off at the most inopportune time. After reading other reviews I went for the Vampire VT-001-SS and go glad I did. It made my unsoldering jobs so much easier. The main difference is the silicone nozzle that fits nicely around the components and sucks everything up in one go. I had no idea that itd be so easy to get a nice, clean solder removal. How this would work for a professional, I have no idea, but for a hobbyist like myself, this was just perfect and highly recommend.

These look nice, I thought the price would validate by way of quality and it did not. I bought two and both have failed miserably in a short time. After a lengthy disassembly and repair they still didnt last but a few pumps and then jammed all over again. I waited too long to return mine so Im out 60 bucks - thats my fault. I bought 5 of the blue and silver cheap ones for less than one I.S.S. SS-02 and theyre still going strong after 2 yrs of regular use. They have never failed even once. The Igineer Solder Sucker SS-02 performed excellent the few times it actually worked, I was impressed at first, Then it became a source of frustration. I wish I had given more attention to the lower reviews that were very specific about the issues rather than saying how great it was. Like the clogging, solder sticking to the inside of the nozzle end, slippery, the barrels inability to handle the flakes inside, the cleaning, how high maintenance they are and still fail. Getting two bad ones cant be coincidence to me. Im a professional business owner and soldering electronics is part of my service. Hopefully theyll address the issue and fix the defects. When they do, Ill give them another try but not until then. Maybe youll have better luck than I did. Take care and I hope this helps.

I do repairs on guitar pedals for work and have a nice Hakko Desoldering gun to use, but needed something smaller (and significantly cheaper) for builds/repairs at home. The build quality and feel of this thing is top tier. Easy in the hand, the plunger is easy to use, and the suction power is super powerful- the first time I used it, I was shocked. I ordered another one to use at work for harder to reach places on the circuit board. 10/10 worth the extra money

I have a PCB with a thickness of 111mm. With a soldering tool, I was able to remove the connector, but still has solder remain in the PCB holes. This prevents me from putting in a new connector. Using this solder sucker tool, I was able to remove all the solder from the connectors holes. It takes some practice to master the usage of this tool. It will take time but does work much better than using the solder wick.

This bad boy is easily the best solder sucker I have ever used. Ive used it to desplder keyboards. The desolder action is easy to perform and makes a giant task like 104 switches seem like a breeze. If youre not planning on buying a desoldering gun, get this instead.

Ive been doing circuit design and building for more than 30 years and have had all kinds of socker-suckers; so far this one is my favorite. Its very small but seems to be well made. The short piece of tube attached to the end makes a great seal so that suction is transferred to the pcb where it is needed. It might be a bit small for big hands. An extra piece of high-temperature tubing is included and should provide at least 3 or four replacements.

This has a rubber tip so it makes a good seal around the solder and pulls it up every time. Much better solder sucker than the ones with a hard tip.
