Vera Bradley Womens Cotton Medium Cosmetic Organizer Makeup Bag

This is a cute, well made cosmetic bag. The recycled cotton fabric is soft but durable and the bag is lightly padded due to the quilting. I ordered the Butterfly By pattern to match several of my other Vera Bradley bags. The pattern features large, colorful abstract butterflies against a variegated sky blue background -- very cheerful and summery. The contrasting fabric lining the interior of the bag has small butterflies scattered on a navy background. The bag is simply organized a zippered main compartment that is also lined with clear plastic to protect against leaks or spills. The zipper wraps quite a ways around the sides to make it easy to access the interior. The curved pocket on the front of the bag doesnt have clear plastic lining and is great for smaller items. The nylon zippers have metal heads and ribbon pull tabs. The bag is well made and very sturdy. Even though this is labeled as a medium-sized cosmetic bag, it is definitely roomy enough to hold everything I might need on a daily basis and is actually a little too big for my cross-body bag. It will fit nicely into my tote or satchel, however. It would also be perfect for travel. The current price of $35.00 seems a bit high to me, but the quality is top-notch and it does fit in the price range of other brand offerings.

I don’t really wear makeup so I love bags like these for craft supplies and for travel to keep shampoo bars, toothpaste, etc in. This is a great size for my uses. There are two zippered pockets. The smaller front pocket is sewn right on top of the main quilted fabric with the opposite side quilted with the lining fabric. There is no clear pvc lining cover in this pocket. The larger pocket has the quilted lining + the clear pvc overlay lining. Both zipper have a ribbon pull. While this bag does not include a strap, both sides have a fabric loop. I took a strap from another bag and found that it turned this into a great size for a fanny pack styled bag.

This little bag is roomy enough for multiple makeup items. The side pocket can help keep smaller items at your fingertips or protect makeup brushes. Can fit in your purse or overnight bag for last minute touch ups.

I have a Vera Bradley large cosmetic bag, and while I love it for when I want all my cosmetics in one place, its too large for whats left over when I have to separate out my liquids and gels in a separate bag for TSA. The non-liquids swim in that bag. I figured that the next size down, this medium cosmetic bag, would be perfect for air travel when I separate my things into two bags. Unfortunately, this medium bag is dramatically smaller than the large. In fact, if I had the two side by side, I would think that I owned a large and a small, instead of a large and a medium. This one measures approximately 9 L x 6 H x 2 D. Despite my disappointment in the size, however, this cosmetic organizer is a great bag. (Ive included a photo to show the difference between the two sizes.) I love that the inside is lined with a clear vinyl that shows the quilted liner fabric -- it has a contrasting pattern -- while protecting it from spills and stains from within. It has a non-lined, zippered exterior pouch for quick access to dry cosmetics, hair clips, etc. This bag is both practical and feminine. I know from my older one that it will also be durable. Yes, its fabric, not nylon, so it might be prone to ripping, but the seams are solid and the quilting makes it tough. -- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

The front part is perfect for tweezers and my eyelash comb. Perfect for the amount if makeup I wear.

If you order a Vera Bradley cosmetic bag, good luck on receiving one that isnt lopsided, indented, or otherwise misshapen. This is the second one that Ive received in this condition. This one is only slightly better than the first. Ill keep it because, with my prime membership, its quite a bit cheaper than the Vera Bradley website price - but perfect it is not!

My daughter is using this for her pencil bag for high school to keep her backpack organized.

Great little cosmetic bag. The colors are bold and it’s a nice size.
