This worked pretty darn well for dosing my small herd of goats. Because I have mini goats, I used the smaller dosage setting. Issues: Yes, as others have mentioned, the dosage pin tends to fall out - that is something the manufacturer needs to work on. My way of solving it the first time was to make sure, with each dose, that it was in place. Soon I will be finding a way to leash it to the device so even if it does completely fall out, I wont lose it. Also, make sure, for each dose, that the pusher is aligned correctly - if it has turned, no amount of squeezing the trigger will produce a dose. For storage between uses, while still loaded, I simply turned the pusher around so no accidental dosing was done on the shelf. My 16 year old city girl daughter visited me, and was delighted to be able to help out using this product - if a city kid can figure it out, anyone can.

There’s a small metal pin that is set and supposed to engage the amount of product you want administered. It has a poor design and easily slips out, giving too much medicine product. For the cost ($36) and the ease in which they could’ve fixed this issue (a LOCKING PIN) I would NOT recommend. Also the smallest amount you can set it is 5 cc, I’d prefer 1cc increments as I have goats.
