Vilros Raspberry Pi 4 & 400 Compatible Power Supply (USB-C) with on/Off Switch

Powers the Raspberry Pi 4B plus accessory boards easily, and has a power supply switch allowing the user to turn the unit on and off without unplugging. Great price for the functionality.

This does not have enough power for a pi 4. Even a basic pi, without anything plugged in, shows the lightning bolt, and if you plug anything into the USB, the pi just shuts down

A lot of Pi power supplies can not deliver the current to keep it running without and error and a slowing of the processor. This one works.

This thing looks is nice, but it fails in doing the one thing its supposed to do: provide a proper voltage for a Raspberry Pi. It provides 5.5V. This voltage will damage your Raspberry Pi. The Pi is only rated for up to 5.25V, and ideally should be 5V, period. Do not connect your Raspberry Pi to this.

No instructions so here is the important thing. Do not put the brass standoffs into the case first. First take the 4 brass standoffs with the hex on one end and the threaded rod and put the threaded shaft portion up from the bottom of the PI board out the top side. Then screw the knurled nuts on from the topside. Then place the board into the case, may have to tilt it side ways to get it in but it will go, then screw the small flathead screws in from the bottom of the outside of the case. In a regular computer motherboard the standoffs screw into the case first but this is opposite. Also there is no instruction about where to put the heatsinks so Google it, it is pretty obvious anyway.

Works as intended

The switch and cord of this power supply are well constructed and felt very heavy duty. I also like that it is a toggle switch (although its unlabeled) so I can see what position it is in (e.g. before plugging in my pi).

Switch is nice. I wanted most power from a pi power supply. In the end, it didnt help as my peripherals were too power hungry and I had to supplement power with a powered USB hub.

This is my favorite power supply for Pis. Powerful enough (3a), and I really like the switch. (Okay, I do upgrade it slightly by putting a label on the side of the switch to indicate On/Off).
