> 24 hourI have a Vitamix 5200 that I bought from Costco more than 10 years ago. The driver socket was worn out. After I checked with Vitamix Support, I purchased this item. Upon receiving, the replacement appeared to be too big to go in. I then found out, the plastic from the old driver socket was glued to the post on the base. We used the small screwdriver to remove the residual of plastic from the broken driver socket. The replacement worked PERFECTLY.

> 24 hourThis part broke on my wifes Vitamix blender, and my immediate thought was that it would be a difficult-to-find part that would take forever to arrive. The part was right here, for a good price, and arrived in two hours. Installation was super easy, though you have to pry out a plug of clear caulk the manufacturer used to seal the side slot in the blender where you will need to insert your Allen key.

> 24 hourI cracked my old socket while making protein bars. I add fruit and nuts, and I was chopping dried pineapple. This is a warning and bit of advice. If you are chopping dried fruit, it sticks and can jam up the blender. My bars also call for some chopped oats, so I did those first and left about a half cup in the blender. Then I added my fruit (this batch had dates). I shook the blender a little and the oats coated the fruit and it chopped perfect. I also didn’t have a sticky mess on the blades after. Now I know and hopefully no more cracked sockets.

> 24 hourMy Vitamix finally gave up on me after 10 years of service. I initially was just going to buy a new one but decided to buy this socket kit to see if I can fix it and save a bundle of money. Well, replacing my old drive socket with this one was easy (took like 15 minutes) and my old Vitamix works like new again! Pretty good deal since I dont need to spend hundreds on a new Vitamix.
