Have to be careful of the blades but the tamper is a necessity when trying to blend anything in the blender we purchased. It’s ok.

This tamper makes using the 32oz, container for nut butters and thick blends really easy. I love it that I can make a smaller amount than I can in my 64oz. container.

Fits perfectly and works well to tamp down food in my Vitamix. Good replacement though a bit expensive.

I guess I use a lot of almond butter. I never knew how easy it would be to make my own. It was nearly impossible before I bought this tool. Now I can use my dry VitaMix jar, throw in a pound of roasted almonds, put the speed on high (right away!! Let it beat those almonds all to heck, fast!! If you go low-speed, the motor overheats. Counter-intuitive, I know. I had to look it up on YouTube after my VitaMix stopped working, mid-almond-butter-making.) and keep tamping it down for about three minutes -- and voila, almond butter. The new long-handled VitaMix scraper I bought also helps clean out the jar. Aaaah...fresh organic celery, lots of Real Salt grated over top, and almond butter...and Iʻm in heaven.

I had mistakenly put the tamper in my Vitamix without the lid. The result: plastic pieces dispersed in my smoothie, not good. I use my blender at least 4 to 5 times a week and the tamper is essential. Thankfully this replacement was perfect. I can know go back to using my powerful blender. Saved me buying a new blender. Thanks!

My wife used the blander tamp while the blender was running without its top, and she ended up touching the spinning blades and destroying the tamp. If you use the tamp while the top is on the blender, then you will not be able to reach the blades with it, and it will work just fine. We bought a replacement tamper, and it works great.

I needed to tamper because I lost my old one when we moved. This one fit perfect for my vitamix. I bought this one specifically because the blender version I have is shorter than the original.
