It does protect your walls and is non-slip. It is easier to have two people when installing any child or pet gate. I would recommend the product.

These work like a charm! If we had not used these our gate wouldn’t have been secure, safe or stayed up without them. As it is now, it has just the right amount of give, is as secure as if it was something we had custom made for our space and professionally installed. This product definitely made all the difference in the world. I could only imagine the headache and extra time that would have been spent dealing with the gate collapsing repeatedly if we had not had these. Then there would have been the constant worrying about it collapsing and our fur babies getting out every time we left the house. If you’re putting up a gate for your child or fur baby, do yourself a huge favor, go ahead and order this product along with your gate!

I chose this Wall Nanny to secure the new gate as much as possible. Because of the structure of my walls having wood trim at the base, I attached the long Wall Nanny, otherwise I could not secure the gate at the wood trim (built in 1978). Furthermore, I am only using the gate for keeping my wild puppy from running speed circles around through the kitchen and living room, preventing me from catching him and retrieving my belongings from his mouth! Definitely, the setup I have with the wood trim is not secure enough for children, as it can easily be bumped out of position. Thankfully, my puppy hasnt even tried to jump up onto it or lean into it, so it is staying in place beautifully.

Easy to install and the gate feels very secure without drilling into our baseboard and wall.

We have a very energetic puppy and we started out with just the gates but after realizing that the wall was at risk of getting damaged and the puppy was able to take them down as he got stronger I ordered the nannies. They not only protected our walls but they make the gates stronger because they are less apt to shift when he pushes against them. Saved my house and my sanity.

I recommend these if you have any sort of gate that has to press against the walls. They distribute the pressure nicely so it doesn’t take off any paint or cause damage then focused in one place, and super easy to install!
