Comes with a hole in the cup for a screw to hold the pad to a surface. I specifically purchased the product so I wouldnt have to drill a hole in my woodwork! Weird. I guess its a lawyer gimmick to avoid lawsuits in the event the buyer does not screw the pad down and an accident occurs. It seems to work just fine from static friction. My dog and cat have been unable to budge the gate.

These were easy to install and blend in to the wall and gate arm nicely. Most importantly, they are sturdy and keep the gate securely attached to the wall.

Used it to protect my vinyl railing post and to add extra grip on the vinyl.

We have a dog that pushes on the gate to test it and has pushed it out of place several times. These grippers have been wonderful.

I use my Gate for my dogs. They figured out how to tear/ knock down the gate. I decided to buy something sturdier. Yes, you can put these just to provide an extra grip, but you also have the option to making it extra sturdy and attaching it to the doorframe by screws. Worked great! Standard screws and viola dont have the gate being knocked down and now have it securely in place. Best find. And awesome part is I can remove the screws and still use the grips as is. It already had predrilled holes for my needs and didnt compromise the product. Can reuse.

These extra brackets are soft and well made. They are working exactly as described. I appreciate that the company is American. Having different color options is nice—although I just went with white since the gate is white.

Easy to install and the gate feels very secure without drilling into our baseboard and wall.
