> 3 dayThis solid state drive greatly increased the storage capacity of my laptop and allowed me to keep GIS projects stored on an external drive that was fast enough that geoprocessing operations did not bog down excessively.

> 3 dayI bought two of these WD 2TB SSD external drives in 2019. I use them for music archiving and playback on my internet radio show. I take good care of them, store them in a cool place, never have dropped them and dont expose them to temperature extremes or crazy high humidity. I can say with confidence that with reasonable care these will give you great, reliable.service for years. On another note I also own an older WD desktop external drive that I bought in 2015...it continues to work well and without issues. As an archivist I always say that if youre going to put all your valuable stuff on external drives, buy two and keep them identical. Never put all your eggs in one basket!

> 3 dayNeeded to replace a 1TB that I had, had for years. This thing hooks up to USB C / Thunderbolt so it goes plenty fast. I habe not had any problems with failures either. I do not use it for its portable feature though. I put my Documents and pictures on it.

Greater than one weekit works as advertised but I really dont like the adapter that it comes with for type A USB. The samsung T5 has a seperate cable for that.

> 3 daySeems to be working exactly as expected. Unfortunately it doesnt work like a regular flash drive and plug and play with my Samsung Galaxy S9. Guess it requires too much power. Runs a little hot when in use. Transfer rates are nice and speedy. No lag when watching movies of it.

> 3 dayI needed an external hard drive to have enough space for all the new video games that came out recently. I bought the SSD because I didnt want anything potentially slower than the factory PS4 Pro hard drive. Turns out I should have bought the 2 tb version because I moved all my games to this SSD for the quality of life it brings to my gaming. Load times are much, much faster. Whether its the initial load, fast traveling, details loading in, etc. Buyer beware, you will never be satisfied with a standard HDD hard drive after using this SSD.

> 3 dayDrive itself is fast and the transfer speeds are also great. Attached Crystal Disk Mark benchmark as well as the transfer speed of a 102GB file taking only 5 minutes using USB 3.1 (internal storage is SATA so limited by that). Expensive drive but will be very useful. Happy with everything so far.

> 3 dayComputer drives are transparent to the user when they work correctly, thus making them more of a commodity. That in mind, this is a great drive. Simple to use as a plain drive. It also provides WD features for encryption and cloud backup ...these services require registration but registration is NOT required in order to use the drive itself (and the drive can be encrypted with other methods than the WD method...so for paranoid types who dont want to register their encrypted drive up to the cloud do not need to do so). The physical size of the drive itself is much much smaller than I was expecting; much smaller than a standard laptop-type hard drive in an enclosure. Its like a box of matches. No complaints though! Makes it highly portable. The combination of low cost, large capacity, speed of USB-C interface makes this a very appealing drive.

> 3 dayMuch smaller in size than expected... and much much lighter .. works perfectly and super fast.. Have a look at the pic to see actual size.. about 3 inches tall and practically weightless, I think the included cable weighs more ;) Im definitely going to buy a couple more of these and back up all my data from my older hard disks before they die on me.
