> 3 dayBought it for my PS4 to free up HD space. Once you hook it up, you need to format it for games, which takes about 4 seconds, and is done automatically by the PS4. After that, all your installs will automatically load directly to the external storage. It runs silent, has 1 small white light, barely gets luke warm, & is small enough to fit just about anywhere. It has a nice hard shell metal case, & also comes packaged securely. Actually, the hard plastic shell packaging could probably be used as a travel case if you needed one to travel. It can also be used as an external drive for your Pc, but not at the same time, I dont think. If you have a library of heavy graphic-intensive games that use a lot of HD space, Id suggest getting this external drive.

> 3 dayBought for my ps4 for extra storage. Worked great with it. Ps4 recognized it then formatted it and have had zero issues with it. Games run smoothly cant tell any difference between games on it and on the ps4 harddrive. One complaint though not a major one the supplied cable is really really short. Ive only had this for a couple months so I cant comment on how it will hold up.

> 3 dayDrive has a decent form factor, a little bulkier than others but not bad. Plastic but a sturdy feel to it. The bad news is this drive is not intended to actually be used. Received mine, plugged it in, and started transferring files to it. About an hour into file transfer (the sending drive is an old 5400 RPM so it was taking a while) I received error messages and all my USB devices disconnected. I discovered that I could get my other devices to work again- as long as I unplugged the WD drive, everything else was fine. Thought maybe it was a file corruption error, so I took it over to my old desktop and plugged it in prior to turning the machine on. Hit the power button on the computer... nothing. Verified I hadnt unplugged the computer or done something stupid, tried again. Nothing. Unplugged the WD drive from the computer, machine turned right on. I suspect what happened is the WD drives active cooling is actually just a sh*t heatsink that isnt capable of properly shedding heat from the drive under sustained load. Not sure how this is acceptable for a gaming drive- never mind any version of a storage drive- as loads are typically at least somewhat constant. Anywho, this is going in for a refund. Its a design issue, not a random failure worthy of an exchange and second chance. Maybe gaming loads are different enough this will do fine on your XBOX or PS4, but if you need it for actual storage- it wont even survive the initial file transfer and I wouldnt be surprised if others had stories of this thing causing permanent damage to their motherboards during its death throes.

> 3 dayoh man. The 4 tb of storage is freaking huge for me cause of the fact I like to play games that uses mods to add more to them like ark, l4d2, and many others. Lot heavier then I thought so i feel that tells me really good protection for the items stored
