I am using it to increase storage space with my PS5, the drive works great the only catch is only ps4 games can run from the external drive. if i had known that i would of just expanded the internal memory of the ps5. but the drive works great with no issues and seems very sturdy

The speeds are what they promised, the space is what they promised but I found that it is quite rugged too. I dropped it twice from about 2ft while setting up my laptop stand and it seems to have held up well. Of course the needle was parked since I wasnt actively using it. This is my send >4TB HDD and Im happy with it. Good job there WD!

I’m not a serial gamer, however I do play a few times a week. And while I’m no professional - average at best. The games, especially on consoles (in my case digital PS5) are massive! My collection of games isn’t huge, I have less than 10 and I quickly went through the memory that was on my console. I asked my brother, who is also a gamer, what he used since he has multiple consoles. And he recommend me this one. While the storage seems a bit daunting to me - it’s just so much (not complaining, it’s just mindblowing). I don’t have to worry about having enough room as I play my games and build my collection. I haven’t noticed any difference when I am playing. So it’s been great!

I accidentally bought this thinking it was another one of their full-size drives in a similar looking, but considerably larger enclosure. Oops. I figured, might as well make the best of it, 5TB of storage is 5TB of storage (well... lets get real... its that marketing TB, not what your computers file system calls a TB, so its more like 4 TB and some change of storage). I digress. In using it I was pleasantly surprised by the solid transfer speed, staying around 100 MB per second transferring large files (which is better than I have had from any drive this small and this slow-spinning previously) - often drives like this will transfer at a solid speed til they run out of cache, then slow down, but this one holds the speed well til the whole job is done. I was also very impressed with its cool operation. As mentioned I thought it was one of the bigger ones in a similar enclosure, because I already have one of those, and even with its small fan active it runs 10-15C hotter than this smaller drive. Granted, it transfers more quickly as it is a full size 7200 RPM drive, but for the sake of longevity keeping temps below 50C is a great mark in this smaller drives favor. Having got one, Im now keen to get a few more. They take up so little space and offer a solid amount of storage for the price. I recommend it.

Lo estoy utilizando casí ya 1 mes y he puesto todos mis archivos en el. Y aún me sobra espacio. Lo utilizo para jugar directamente desde el disco duro, ver peliculas, series, edición de video y visuales. Funciona bien hasta hora.
