I’m sure it’s great otherwise, but the whole reason I have been looking for extra space to download PS5 games and be able to play them. I’ve honestly yet to find an external hard drive that does this. Regardless of the place. I started with a lower price Samsung one (didn’t work), then spend a little more to try this and it still is not working for what I need. Thank God Amazon is so easy to do returns with. At this point I’ve gone through a stack of drives and still have yet to find something I can play PS5 games with. Like I said, thank God, Amazon is so good about returns. For better or worse that’s where they beat everyone else.

Works great but not as fast as a SSD.

Bought this external drive for its 5tb capacity. For a game drive its not fast, about 100MB/s average. Bought on 9/2021 and it died with the click of death 12/2022

I bout this for my Xbox and it was supposed to have 2tbs of storage on it but it only has 1.9 tbs

DOES NOT PLAY PS5 GAMES ONLY PS4. It will however let you store PS5 games. Copying a game from external to console is faster than deleting and re-downloading but you still the need space on the PS5, but you cannot default purchase a digital game and send it straight to the external, you need to download it to your console and then send it to your external (not bad just takes an extra 20 seconds). Im not sure why these companies lie and say 5tb knowing it will only be 4.60, JUST MAKE THE STUPID THING 5.3 TB SO I GET 5.0 or something. Does work well just minor inconveniences like I mentioned.

I havent had to delete any more treasured files just because I needed to fit something more important since I got one of these for me and the other for my spouse.
