Transferring from 2TB SSD to this higher compacity 4TB HDD Took a bit of time but I am pleased so far with all the data(games) I can hold on this device for the price. I having an issue that I notice that my Xbox One X has been doing more waiting to load the game itself with that getting things ready prompt more. Atm I will take the prompt than having to reinstall a game any day.

I purchased this for my Xbox Series X that was 86.3% at Capacity, I transferred almost every game to my WD_Black 5TB and only filled it up 13% and still have 4.5 TB free. I can also play my transferred games without Transferring back and forth between my Xbox Series X and the Memory Storage, Game play doesnt seem to be affected

Just received this drive and was ready to hook up to my new Xbox X for extra space for games. Also just received the Microsoft 1 TB plug in drive that is new to the X by Seagate. Have used plenty of WD drives in the past for extra storage since Microsoft is stingy with the limited 1 TB internal Drive and does not permit you to change the internal drive unlike the Sony PS 3and 4. Not sure if you can change the internal drive on the PS5. Will find out someday. This drive when plugged into the Xbox did not give me the option to format to either gaming or media and was locked to media only and would not let me make any changes. I tried connecting to an Xbox One but the same results. The next thing to try was to connect to a PC and attempt to wipe the drive and reformat. Looked up how to format a drive on a PC so it will work on the Xbox and you have to format it to Fat32 or in this case in windows 10 it was either NTSF or the other FATe. Used the quick format for FATe and this worked. When I plugged back into the Xbox X it gave me the option to format for gaming or media. The plug in Seagate drive worked perfectly. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Works great with my Xbox One S. The size of some of these games it’s nice to have an extra 5 terabytes of storage. USB powered and looks good with the white of the one S.

Got the 5TB, hook up and configuration was a breeze. Only had it for one day so cant comment on its speed or durability. I can say that when I tried to enter the codes for the 2 Free Months of Ultimate Game Pass, which I already had a subscription to, it said the trial was for new customers only. Wouldve been nice if it worked, couldve saved me $32.

This drive is attractive and seems to perform as advertised. I havent really used it. I am just reporting that in my drive (Xbox version), which I ordered in July 2020, the Game Pass codes included had already expired the previous month (see picture). I dont know if this will be true for all drives ordered, but I was surprised that they had an expiration date to begin with. Amazon was able to process a partial refund for the code, so I am satisfied, but it was a surprise & hassle.

I use the hard drive to record Xbox game play I load on my pc, edit and upload to my YouTube channel. Good size HDD. Looks good with Xbox series x. Price is good. Just keep in mind you have to format for Xbox or use on pc. If you see just look for storage for additional games this is the one. For moving stuff to pc it works great for that also.
