This is a high-quality steel mandrel for 1/4 drive 3/8 hole cut off wheels at a very good price! Never slipped in the die grinders arbor and gripped the cut off wheel perfectly! Cheap at half the price!!!

I believe and stand to be corrected this item is unsuitable for the thicker and heavier grinding 1/4 inch discs as specified. This is due to the thicker the disc the less threads are engaged. This is exasperated by the un-threaded internal recess and the extra weight of the thicker discs. I would recommend using this mandrel safely using cutting discs of a thickness 0.035- to 1/8 or 0.8 mm to 3 mm. Very suitable for this task.

If I still had access to a lathe I wouldve made my own, but this is a high quality choice as well. Fits snug in all the wheels Ive put it in so far and I have yet to experience vibration due to an off center disk. From the first time, the threads were flawless and hold tight even after getting warm when the disk gets used too much. 10/10 would buy again (unless I get a lathe of course)
