> 3 dayI build computers and I prefer WD hard drives. This hard drive was ordered fo an up grade to a Dell Latitude E6230 laptop. I had previously ordered a 750GB WD Blue drive from Cortese but that drive was new old stock(NOS) and the warranty would not register so I returned it. This drive registered properly with Western Digital with zero problems. It arrived in a normal WD shipping box sealed in an anti-static bag and secured in proper hard drive shipping enclosures. The vendor was Western Digital fulfilled by Amazon. This is a new hard drive as stated on website. The price was inline with other vendors checked and the WD web store. My experience is that market place vendors are often unreliable and dishonest. The few problems I have had with purchases on Amazon has been with marketplace vendors. I generally look for well known manufacturers items sold by Amazon and not 3rd party market place vendors. This hard drive is installed and working properly.

> 3 dayI ordered this for my PS4 slim since 500gb wasn’t enough, and it worked great for a week. As soon as I set it up in the PS4, I was able to download over 1.5tb worth of games into and still had plenty left over. Less than 1 week in, I started hearing what sounds like a grinding noise, after some research, it was apparently the sound of the drive head reading/writing data. It wasn’t that loud at first, couldn’t hear it if I had game sound playing. But then the next week, I could hear it over the game sound and it really got irritating. So I sent it back to get a replacement thinking I had just got a defective drive. But wait, there’s more. After I got the new drive, I installed the same way, worked fine. I thought maybe I downloaded too many games too fast and it too much last time, so I would only download 1 game a day. Worked for a little bit. But immediately after the return period ended, the grinding noise came back with full force. If you’re looking for long term reliability, try out Seagate’s Barracuda drives, they might be better. I wouldn’t know though since I’m stuck with listening to grinding when I play my games now.

> 3 dayI bought this drive as an additional drive to my SSD drive. It installed easily, and works perfectly. HOWEVER, it does not some with mounting screws. When I asked WD why, they said each laptop requires different screws. Why cant they simply include 4 of a variety screws? It cant be very expensive!

> 3 dayI was expecting a retail package but it came in a generic box without any oem documentation or packaging. I wasnt sure it was an authentic Western Digital product at first but after closer inspection and online research I was able to verify it. Apparently its a bulk item that is repackaged for resell. The price is reasonable and the drive works fine. My order was fulfilled by Computer Upgrade King.

> 3 dayI like that it is shipped in such a secured Box. no room to wiggle around inside, therefore your hard drive is safe from its long travel. It only took 1 week to delivered straight to my home (Philippines)... beating my expectation of taking a month. It is working as expected and so far i dont see anyproblem.
