> 3 dayVery nice and quiet non SSD hard drive for our PS3 Slim that works well and that we can recommend for any PS3 owner looking for a large capacity hard drive upgrade. The 1TB space is truly a major upgrade from the stock hard drive that was originally installed in our PS3 Slim. Physically installed without issue, the overall upgrade was relatively easy requiring the latest PS3 firmware to be installed via a USB stick first after that formatting and restoring from backup was super smooth. As others have stated this is not a retail hard drive, it is OEM and thus the Western Digital 2-year warranty is not valid due to Western Digital policies. The hard drive however is of course covered by the Amazon 30-day policy.

> 3 dayI use this for auxiliary storage for my DVR. Very quick spin-up time when activated. Low power consumption. Powered by the USB port. Has been in service for a couple of years now, with no issues. The next one will likely be an SSD, but the prices on 2TB SSD is still quite high, so they are not yet competitive in an application like this.

> 3 dayThe hard drive on my UniFi network died. This was plug and play easy to get it back up and running. Plenty of storage and it sits in the living room quietly doing its thing! I love it when technology actually works.

> 3 dayI bought this to replace a crashed hard drive on my TiVo Bolt. TiVo did not recognize the drive. I returned this to Amazon for a simple and easy refund. 5 stars for that.

> 3 dayI do a lot of tech work, and generally when Im looking to balance cost and longevity in drives I buy wd blue. looks a little different than the listing, but I looked over it and checked the warranty status and its all legit. I cant speak for how long its gonna live but I have other ones in working PCs that are going way past their warranty. As far as Im concerned you cant go wrong with a Blue

> 3 dayI am using 2.5 hard drive instead of 3.5 because I believe that hard drives should be smaller without sacrificing capacity. The 2.5 hard drive is used as my /home partition for storing all of my user data including Steam games in my Linux desktop and my small hard drive has never failed me so far. The hard drive may not be as fast for transferring files over my 2.5Gbit network, but that is fine for me.
