This nvme m.2 ssd worked right way on my Asrock A320m hdv rev 4.0 motherboard and was a breeze to get Windows 10 and various Linux distros installed. I also bought this to hold my most-played games that can benefit from the speed. To be honest most of them play good on even a regular sata3 ssd or even just a decent hdd so 2.4GB/s is plenty fast. All the next-gen games that will make use of gen 4 pcie doesnt really concern me, I already have a great library of games.

Using since last 02 months on my MSI gv62, 8rd. Installation is super easy (required a NVMe slot). Boot time has been improved significantly from 12 sec to 3.8 sec. Gaming performance and regular usage experience relay improved.

Just wanted to take a moment to confirm that this drive works fine in a 2015 MacBook Air 13 inch with a nvme MacBook adapter. I had to boot the computer using my time machine drive in order for disk utility to “see” the unformatted WD drive. Network recovery would not work. After booting with my time machine backup using option R everything went smoothly. So far the computer is just as fast if not faster than it was before, and so far I have not had any issues resuming from sleep or any perceivable battery drain issues.

Literally opened up my computer unscrewed a screw and put it in place turned on the pc downloaded all my games and programs and runs 20x faster than my old hardrive. Pc turns on in 10 seconds and once I put in my password all my “start on startup apps” are ready in another 20 seconds ready for me to go. Made going on my computer to do tasks less of a hassle with less time waiting around sometimes even up to 20 minutes waiting for everything to load.
