The new, faster model is called SN570. The many reviews on this page are for the older model SN550 which is pretty good, but the newer SN570 clearly has better performance. The new SN570 loads games and programs faster. It has less lag (latency) so it feels snappier and more responsive. Several tech websites have tested the new SN570 against the older model (and against other more expensive SSDs).

I never really got to try it out because I received a defective unit that almost killed my mobo. Took 14+ hours of painful troubleshooting to finally get the machine to turn on again. Of all the storage upgrades Ive done Ive never had that happen before.

I never realized how fast an NVME drive was going to be until I used one. This one isnt top of the line by any means but its fast enough for me. Boot times are very fast, Windows 10 is lightning quick, and its an overall pleasure to use. Much faster than SATA drives. Highly recommended.

ITs a good priced ssd I have zero issues with it so far.

This is the best 1TB SSD that you can get for under $100, there is no other NVME SSD that can compare to these insane speeds at this price point, I have been using western digital for 5 years and decided to upgrade to this 1TB NVME SSD and I am loving it, its very fast and reliable and very good for gaming and many other tasks.
