Purchased to install ceiling fan on angle ceiling with exposed beams. Worked perfectly. Will be buying more.

Instead of mounting your fixture to the ears on a box. You mount with wood screws that can go a couple inches into solid wood joist. Much stronger mounting

This worked perfectly fine. I accomplished what it was expected to. All ceiling lights are safely secured to the cross beams.

The boxes are so easy to install and are much easier that the boxes with cross brackets. The fans housing will now be screw directly into the support beam.

Can install this box of you cut a hole under a stud.

Ended up purchasing this and having to jimmy-rig in my ceiling no fault of the product my house is over 100 years old so everything is done to different standards including where electrical boxes were placed. Ended up getting my fan up and it seems perfect. It did its job.

Very easy to install. Includes 1 short screw to keep the box in place and 2 long screws to secure the fan cradle into a truss/joist.

Well made and good design for ceiling fan box. Would work well for light fixture also.

This box is just what I needed. I was pleased that all the needed hardware was included.

If you have to install an outlet on a joist, this is the product you need. The regular pancake boxes do the job if youre ending a series of lights at the pancake box. But if you have to continue on to another light than you need one of these so you can put the extra wiring inside it. This works on I-joists where a regular saddle box doesnt work.
