I used it to cut a groove for a panel on a Shaker door. It cut a beautiful, clean groove. I did make two passes.

Cant go wrong with Whiteside bits. These guys make the best.

I use these bits for professional level inlay work. The carbide is delicate because of the small diameter of the blade. Go slow, and take several passes to achieve the final depth of cut. If you push the blade too hard too fast it can break, but that’s the nature of carbide.

I like buying a high quality, US manufactured product at a fair price. Fast shipping is a plus. I am using the bit for my CNC

I only use whiteside bits and this is a premium spiral bit that can last quite a while. I carve wood signs and I rely on Whiteside bits for crisp cuts, razor sharp accuracy and long tool life. My #1 choice hands down!

was sent the upcut instead of down cut. its still a great bit, just not what I wanted for my CNC.

Some of the best bits I’ve ever used on my x-carve

I really cant recommend these bits. The first ones I ordered worked fair. The cut was a little rough but the two I purchased this time didnt last at all. Im cutting out puzzle pieces in 1/4 Baltic birch plywood. I usually get 5 to 6 large velociraptors out of a bit. Half way through the first one I had to retire the brand new bit. It was cutting rough and burning the cut so badly that I cant use the parts I cut out--wasted the material. I guess you get what you pay for! These cheap end mills arent even worth the effort.
