They are great for lamps so you can turn them on remotely if you are away from home and you want it to appear like someone is there. Also, the company is wonderful! Shipping was going to take longer than normal and the company stayed in touch with me and updated me with the shipping information continually through out the time with shipping information. I highly recommend these smart plugs!
