Willow Tree with Love Angel, Sculpted Hand-Painted Figure

I cant say enough about the figurines that Willow makes. They are creative and the attention to detail is amazing. I love them and use them all the time for my memory boxes.

I purchased two of these for two special people, thinking they were just like on the product page. In truth, the ones I received are very dark skinned, not light as shown. While my friends will not be offended, I am contemplating returning. I am disappointed and hope no one else has had the same issue. Other Willow Tree angels I have purchased from Amazon have been as shown. I do not want to hear calls of prejudice; this item is just not as shown in the picture.

I purchased this as a thank you gift for a civilian that works with Veterans in the community in substance abuse. It is so simple yet meaningful. It arrived fast and unbroken. She is going to love it!

My wifes mother used to give these figures to my wife for gifts on special occasions. They always meant a lot to my wife. After my mother-in-law passed away these became even more special to my wife. Wanting to carry on the tradition and help my wife remember the great memories that she had of her Mom, I purchased this figure to give to her on one of our anniversaries. I was a little worried that I may be crossing a line by giving her something that was something so special between the two of them, but she loved it. This carved and painted piece of wood really help her remember her Mom and helped bring back a lot of great memories. Not only that, but it also allowed her to see that I understood how much they meant to her, which made it just a bit more special. Now, I understand that my wifes experience with these figures is unique, but if youre looking for a fun little tradition to share with a mom, wife, daughter, or someone else who would like these, then these figures a pretty good way of doing that.

I love Willow Tree, period. That is why this is getting a 5 rating, but...this one had darker skin and it did not say that in the description. Of course, I am keeping because my daughter collects, and they are all beautiful, but I bought as a cake topper for my niece and had to go buy another one that was not quite so dark.

Willow tree items are usually neutral in color. Face was a little dark on these but we loved it anyway.
