> 3 dayI purchased new bathroom light fixtures when we moved into our condo that we currently live in. I purchased them from Menards and when I needed to replace the bulbs inside the bulbs I bought from Menards or difficult to install. These bulbs for much cheaper on Amazon and I was able to install very very easy. I highly recommend purchasing this bulbs.

> 3 dayWe had new chandeliers (entry and dining room) and a stairway sconce installed which used the halogen G9 base bulbs. They get HOT HOT HOT very quickly, and are extremely sensitive to oils on fingers, etc., requiring use of gloves to remove / install. Ive found that the G9 bulbs dont have a very long life. Replacement halogen bulbs from Feit say 2000 hours life. So if you leave them on 12 hours a day, youll need to replace them every 6 months. New G9 halogen bulbs at 40 watts are $6 a pop at the big blue box retailer. We probably have 40+ bulbs between our chandeliers and sconce. You can do the math; just the purchase cost is about $250 to outfit them once. Try that twice a year! So when the first few failed, I went to the big blue box hardware store and bought replacements, being careful to use gloves to install the new ones (with the dead ones, no need to wear gloves to take them out; theyre gonzo!). But I got tired of that. Then I had 3 of the 4 in the sconce fail. Time out, no more halogens! I purchased a 6 pack of these, which are the same color (3000K) in the 40W equivalent size (4W), and these average out at $2.40 each. And instead of a 2,000 hour life, they have a quoted 30,000 hour life. Now I cant comment on life yet, but even if they only last 6 months at 12 hours a day, Im still way ahead on both purchase price and energy cost. And if in fact they last 30,000 hours, well, thats about 7 years from now. And my life cycle cost will be far, far lower. So long, halogens!!
