Winsor & Newton Artists Oil Color, 37ml (1.25 oz) Tube, Burnt Sienna

I got the used oil paint because it was more than half off the new version just to see, out of morbid curiosity, what I would get. And... I got a clearly slightly used bottle of oil paint. In the correct color, even! Oil paint can last for AGES and theres a thriving market for used paint, and this bottle is just slightly used, still has plenty of paint in it, and is in older packaging. Exactly as advertised, so well done!

I have been painting for years and heard about this color and saw a painting done using this color and it was gorgeous so I decided I needed a tube of Brown Madder Oil Paint. I looked in stores and online in artist catalogs etc. but only place I could find it was at AMAZON......believe me this color does not disappoint for a beautiful brown with traces of deep purples, perfect with no mixing for tree trunks,rocks,ground color and more! I did one of my best paintings to date using it...if you paint and havent tried it you must! Blessings! Cheri Street

Great product, more care needed in shipping. I received the paint tube in an envelope and it had gotten crushed and started to leak into the envelope, previous orders came in a box which is preferred.

A great unique color. My only problem with it, which is so far speculative, is that not all of the pigments inside it are excellent rated lightfast. PR188 specifically is listed as 1 to 2 lightfast. So over time it might lose some of its redness if exposed to sunlight. I will keep using the color though and Im glad I bought it.

Violets can be particularly tricky to mix on your own. They turn brown, or too red or too blue very easily. This violet is lovely as a color on its own and for shadows in light bright paintings!
