22-11-2024Great upgrade over harbor freight gun for the blast cabinet. Definitely worth the money, will cut down my sandblast time by 50% vs the HF gun.

Greater than one weekI have only used this for two projects so far. I have been using with Black Diamond coal slag. It works great to prepare parts for powder coating. The problem I am encountering is after about 10-15 minutes the trigger starts to bind in the open position. The fix is to dissassemble the gun trigger mechanism. Remove the rubber O ring, and reinstall it back in the correct position. I think that because I am not using a blast cabinet, I am using many shorter duration, precision blasts of sand to minimize sand waste, instead of just holding the trigger back with a constant sand flow while cleaning a part. I dont think this trigger mechanism can hold up to repeated short 5-10 second blasts. For my second project I just held the trigger back and let it rip for the duration of the cleaning job. It worked very well like that and the trigger O ring stayed in place.

23-11-2024Just tried it out, and it works much better than one I just returned that was more than twice the price. I do wish it had a longer suction tube though.

Greater than one weekFirst of all, hose is way too short, maybe 3 feet, so plan on buying a longer one. Ive tried a few different guns similar to this. They all performed pretty much the same. Removing paint, (in my case, a lawn mower deck) is a lost cause. They use a lot of air, so unless you have a 2 stage compressor withat least a 30 gallon tank, youll be waiting for air pressure to build. Compressor needs to be able to maintain at least 90 lbs pressure. Otherwise, you may as well use paint remover and a wire brush. Doesnt do well removing light surface rust.

> 3 dayI bought some Black Diamond abrasive for my blast cabinet and no matter what I did my Harbor Freight gun wouldnt spray it, wouldnt pick it up, nothing. So I bought this taking a chance that it might. Everything worked out perfectly. This is superior to the Harbor Freight gun in every way.

> 3 dayAfter 2 cheap gravity feed blasters I saw this and gave it a try. The others were all made of plastic except the tip. Has trouble even spraying pool sand. This gun comes various size tip all the way up to 7mm. Can literally spray any type of media. Just used on Black Diamond coarse grit coal media and worked flawsely. Feed tube is large enough that it never got clogged. All metal construction and long lasting ceramic tips. Dont waste your time with the other junk.
