I bought this bag to commute with a small laptop, the contents of a small purse, and my lunch. Its perfect for that. I wanted a large central pocket instead of the multiple medium-sized compartments that my existing laptop backpack had. The central pocket could fit gym shoes and maybe a workout shirt if Ive got the laptop in it. (Id have to take out the laptop and anything else if I wanted to fit all of my workout clothes and shoes in it, so its definitely too small to be a gym bag.)

This was the perfect size to carry toiletries, an extra change of clothes, snacks, and books for an overseas tour. When I wasnt flying, it folded up nicely inside my suitcase so there was one less bag to handle. Love the suitcase strap.

I really like this piece! It has great organization for my laptop and paperwork. Plenty of space for other items such as carrying my wallet and sunglass case in the main pocket.

Unless you are certain this is exactly the style, fabric, weight, and durability you want, I would not recommend buying. This seller charges for any shipping/returns. The bag is a quality bag, but a bit heavier than expected and I was looking for something very light-weight. That said, it is made well, which is why it may be heavier than other backpacks of its kind.

I love all samsonite stuff for their durability. But my existing backpack been is huge for my frame and makes me look scruffy.

This doubles as my every day purse, when Im traveling it is my book bag since it is so sturdy. Opens nice and wide so you can see in. Lots of space. Zipper on outside and zipper inside along with some holders on opposite side. AND it zippers across the top. It is the best.
