11-06-2025I’m definitely switching to wrangler for now on. I’m a skateboarder so I’m always putting my clothes to the “test” I use to wear Levi’s but lately the 505’s have been tearing up way before their expectations. When I put on these wranglers on they definitely have that but thicker layer than the others, but because of that they also take some time to break into.

> 3 dayI live in jeans but its hard to find 29 inseam at a reasonable price. The Cowboy Cut jeans are sturdy, fit nicely, and will last a good long time. The first pair was so good I quickly ordered another.

> 3 dayTag says first washes should be inside out. They mean it. These are not prewashed. I ignored and color streaked along oddly placed crease. Then I read tag and washed inside out twice. Color and crease mostly corrected. Still gave 5 stars because mostly my fault and now corrected.

> 3 dayNot going to nock the garment. Judging from a couple of reviews of the many I read, I was hopeful that the denim had not been treated in anyway. Though upon inspection it seems that it is not the raw denim of yesteryear. They are close but I’m betting that the material has been washed or tumbled to soften. Which they are comfortable and pliable. Just not what I was hoping for. I want a pair of jeans made from the stiff raw fabric… like heavily starched, a slight sheen to the fabric, very ridged, no micro fuzz or wrinkles from being washed. These jean may have been made from a raw denim, perhaps treated (softened) to facilitate sawing assembly or treated (softened, washed, treated tumbled ) after assemble to suit contemporary trends. Though they are not in the present state what I consider “RAW DENIM “. The color is good, the front pockets, as some reviews have mentioned… are too short (another inch would be good), the watch pocket is at least double the size of former watch pockets. These jeans are very comfortable as they come, though odd as it may sound, I was not looking for instant comfort… these don’t need to be broke in… that has been done for you. Again, not nocking the garment, just was not what I was seeking though I’ll wear them while I continue my search for a raw denim material pair of jeans.

> 3 dayI bought these remembering that I had liked them a long time ago. Since then I tried other brands, including LEVIS 501, the shrink to fit kind, which I used to wear exclusively. I recently bought a pair of those 501s, they looked and fit just right before the first wash. After I washed them they shrunk to skinny jeans. Theyre so tight below the knee that it was hard to wear them over cowboy boots, a problem I never had with the old 501s. Also the fabric is ridiculously thin compared to what it was. They dont fit well on top either, sag and you need to wear a belt. Kind of sad they lost it. I will never buy them again. The Wrangler is just like I remember them, they shrink just right, I can wear boots under them and the fabric is twice as thick as the LEVIS. Of all the brands I tried I found the Wrangler- and UNIQLO jeans fit best.
