I actually use this for my back gate. I can arm it nightly from in my house with the remote. Very load, will deter most thieves.

I tried this in several places on a Prius using different methods of attachment. I shook the car as violently as I could and the device would not sound the alarm beyond an initial beep. The alarm gives a warning sound when first shaken or vibrated. That gives the thief time to locate and muffle the alarm. The reviews state that on a bicycle the alarm works when the bike is moved from a vertical position down to a horizontal. Hows that going to work for a Prius? It cannot be placed on the exhaust system directly. Heat in excess of 500°F would melt the plastic case and the circuits. There are better alarms some available on Amazon for catalytic converter protection.

I use these while camping. I put them on everything bikes coolers my blackstone... they are loud they will startle anyone messing with your stuff and will definitely wake you from a sound sleep.

Great little theft deterrent alarm with a real nifty key fob. Very cool and works great. Wondering how long the battery will last, or weather resilient it will be, but so far great for the money. I bought two!

I bought two of these, one for my bike, and one for a garage door that has a broken lock. So far, both have performed quite well. I often forget that the alarm is set on my bike, and just simply bumping the bike gives-off the warning beep, which is enough to wake the dead. Its great! If you then continue to move the bike, the true alarm will start ringing. The only thing I dont particularly like about the alarm is that there is a loud beep when you initially set it, so it alerts everyone in the vicinity that youve set an alarm. That might be good or bad... When on the bike trails, I often want to run into the bathroom for a quick second, but dread turning the alarm on because the beep just draws attention to me. However, if/when anyone tries to walk off with my bike, I think the alarm will be a good deterrent! So far, am very happy with this purchase.

I put it under a pile of tools , in my truck at home in my driveway so I would hear it and the tools on the concrete as they try to dig it out. It’s really loud. Easy to set with lock or unlock buttons. It’s so Lo-if , but it helps me sleep knowing I am 10 seconds away and they can’t find it in ten seconds… if I open the opposite side door it will go off after 4 seconds. Just fine for 20 bucks or so!
