X6672 Lennox Healthy Climate 16x25x5 Merv 16 Filter

This is a super filter. I replace ours about once per year. It is a great investment in clean air. The charcoal surface helps to clear away odors at the same time the dust and pollution are captured by the filter. Highly recommend this!

When I replaced my homes furnace, I also added a Healthy Climate Media Air Cleaner which requires a Lennox filter MERV 16. I have a long-haired cat and like the efficiency rating the MERV 16 filter allots.

Nice OEM filter, very effective, replacing after nine months, no way these filters will last 12 months in a home with a dog and cat. While MERV 16 is nice, its a bit more than 3 times the cost of a MERV 10; without major breathing issues, we cant justify the additional cost at this time, so we are returning to a MERV 10. One thing to be aware of with cheaper generics is the lack of air filter cabinet standardization. If you are technically savvy you can gasket the cheaper filters to get them to fit, but otherwise, if the size match is not exact, some air may flow around the filter, not through it, reducing effectiveness. Either pay a little more to buy OEM or carefully check the actually sizing, which is different than the official sizing, which appears to be rounded up or down to the closest inch. We actually own a Lennox HVAC system with a Lennox Healthy Climate 16 Media Air Cleaner, so this item was a perfect fit.

Factory filter but much better price on Amazon. Fit my system perfectly. I did notice this one was a different color either on top or bottom but assuming its a change in the filter itself.
